Keep your eyes closed.
Start to observe your breathing.
Just take the awareness to the nostrils.
Feel the breath as it enters in at the nostrils.
Feel the breath as it leaves via the nostrils.
Just observe the pattern.
The breath enters.
The breath leaves.
The mind becomes stiller.
Moves into silence.
But continues to watch the breath.
As you breathe in,
You feel the breath entering via the nostrils.
You feel the ribcage expand.
As you breathe out,
You feel the breath leaving.
Via the ribcage.
The nostrils.
And you just observe the entire flow of the breath.
From the nostrils.
Down to the bottom of the lungs.
Back up through the lungs.
To the nostrils.
Mixing back with the atmosphere.
Observe the entire length of the breath.
Each time you breathe in.
Each time you breathe out.
Continue bringing the mind to the awareness of the breathing.
Breathe in.
The ribcage expands.
Breathe out.
The ribcage contracts.
You just keep feeling stillness.
Silence growing in the mind.
Continue bringing the awareness of the mind to the breathing.
Stillness enters.
As you observe the breath.
You keep connecting to this stillness.
Your mind becomes stiller and stiller.
As you observe the breathing.
The thoughts start to drift away.
You realize how the thoughts contain no peace.
No stillness.
They sometimes contradict each other.
But they don't create stillness with the mind.
And observing the breath does.
So you continue observing the breath.
Allowing for stillness to enter the mind.
Continue to feel the stillness within.
The thoughts leaving.
You just feel stillness.
From observing the movement of the entire length of the breath.
As it enters.
As it leaves.
Continue observing the breathing.
The mind becomes stiller and stiller.
You connect as much as you can to the stillness deep within.
The breath guides you.
Towards the deepest point of stillness.
And silence within yourself.
The thoughts continue to drift away.
And your experience of your own inner silence grows.
You continue watching.
Each in-breath.
Each out-breath.
You continue connecting to the stillness within.
The breath enters.
The breath leaves.
And your awareness of the breathing brings more and more stillness to your mind.
You observe the breath.
Expanding the ribcage.
Contracting the ribcage.
Moving in.
Moving out.
And you observe and feel nothing but stillness within.
The breath guides you.
To this tiny point of stillness deep within yourself.
And you feel the stillness deep within yourself.
Increasing.
Expanding.
You feel nothing but stillness.
Nothing but silence deep inside.
You feel completely connected to the silence deep within yourself.
And then just in your mind's eye,
You become aware of the most beautiful valley you can imagine.
You see flowers,
Trees.
You see a beautiful lake in the middle.
A tree just in the center of the valley next to the lake.
A tree filled with life.
You see an ancient yogi sat just below the tree of life.
You see in his eyes wisdom,
Knowledge.
You see that he has a oneness with all life.
A connection to everything around him.
And you see that he's found peace and stillness from deep within.
As you observe him more and more,
You feel his sense of connection to everything around.
You observe the stillness within him and this inspires you to develop stillness deep within yourself.
To not allow the mind to wander.
But to stay focused on the awareness of unity,
Of oneness in all life,
In the entire universe.
Seeing how the yogi has seen that everything is connected.
And the yogi says one word to you.
He says,
Shunyata.
He explains that Shunya comes from the ancient word zero.
That the meaning of Shunyata is emptiness.
And he explains that everything is empty of its own independent existence.
Everything depends on everything else to exist.
Everything he tells you is connected.
We're all part of each other.
Part of the universe.
Part of the nature around us.
There's no separation.
Just a oneness in all life.
A oneness in all existence.
Everything he tells you is made up of everything else.
He asks you to see and observe the clouds in the sky.
To see how these clouds turn to rain.
How the rain enters into the lake.
Into the streams around.
Into the wells.
How this same water that was once a cloud becomes the water that you drink.
This same rain becomes the water that when you drink it becomes your cells.
Enters into your cells.
Becomes part of this physical body.
How it's this same water that enters into the same wells and springs.
From which drink thousands of different creatures.
Animals,
Insects,
Humans.
How this same water surrounds the fish in the sea.
How this same water is within all of our cells.
And he asks you to look around in the valley.
To see the same water that's within your cells.
Is also in the clouds.
The rain.
That this rain falls.
Enters into the soil.
Is taken up by the roots of the plants,
The trees,
The flowers.
Everything beautiful in the valley.
Becomes part of their cells.
Their being.
The trees.
The flowers contain the same water in their cells that you contain in your cells.
And he asks you to observe your breath now.
To see that the air that you're breathing is the same air that every being on this planet is breathing in.
Breathing out.
The same time as you.
Every human,
Every animal,
Every creature is breathing in.
Breathing out.
Exactly the same air as you.
That you're all sharing the same air,
The same breath.
And also,
As you breathe out.
The carbon dioxide that you release is taken in.
By nature,
By the trees,
The plates of grass.
The flowers,
The plants.
They're breathing in the same air that you and every being on this planet is breathing out.
We're all sharing the air.
The oxygen,
The carbon dioxide.
We're all part of each other.
The yogi explains all of this to you.
With his face,
His eyes,
His voice full of love.
He asks you to see that we're all connected.
We all breathe the same air,
Contain the same water in ourselves.
Even the food that we eat is made up of the same minerals that's contained in the same soil that comes from the great Mother Earth.
The same minerals within all of us make up our physical bodies.
We're all connected to each other.
The same sun shines on all of us.
We all see the same moon at night.
We're all connected.
It's the same great Mother Earth that feeds the same plants,
The same crops,
The same grains,
The same fruits that we all eat.
We all contain her and her nourishment deep within us.
We're all connected to her.
All part of her.
Part of this great living being that is the great Mother Earth.
We all contain her within.
We're all made up of the same DNA.
It's within all of us.
Even the plants,
The trees,
Their cells are made up of DNA.
Every animal,
Every creature,
We're all made up of life.
Nothing is independent of its own existence.
There is no separate you,
Separate me,
The yogi tells you.
We're all part of each other.
The yogi asks you to look deep inside yourself.
To see an image of him deep inside you.
To see how you're both made up of the same DNA,
The same water in your cells,
The same minerals from the same great Mother Earth.
How you both breathe the same air.
But how the yogi,
Full of wisdom and ancient knowledge,
Is deep inside you.
Just as the same DNA is inside.
The yogi represents the knowledge that's deep within you.
The knowledge that we're all connected.
You inherently know,
Deep inside yourself,
That we're all made up of the same DNA,
The same water,
The same minerals.
We all breathe the same air.
That we're all connected in a myriad of ways.
We're all completely connected to each other,
To the world,
To the Earth,
To the great Mother Earth herself.
We're connected to every drop of water.
To the heat,
The light around us.
To every being on this planet.
We're completely connected.
Even to the soil,
The minerals within it.
The minerals that exist on this Earth.
They're part of us.
We're not independent.
We're part of a great living being.
The great Mother Earth herself.
The yogi and the ancient wisdom of the universe exist within you.
You only ever have to close your eyes to access it.
To know that it's deep inside yourself,
Deep inside your being.
There is no you,
No me.
Just a oneness that permeates the entire universe.
You feel this oneness deep inside yourselves.
Deep inside your being.
Right through to the core of your very being.
You feel nothing but connection.
Nothing but oneness.
You keep this feeling of oneness,
Of unity,
Alive inside you.
You rub both palms together.
You generate warmth in the palms.
You take the bottoms of the palms over the eyes.
Still keeping this feeling of connection,
Of unity.
Then you slowly move your hands away.
Slowly opening the eyes.
Still feeling connected.
Feeling how everything exists because of everything else.
That there's nothing but a oneness in the universe.
