You keep your eyes closed,
You start to observe the breath.
Start to observe each in-breath.
Start to observe each out-breath.
Keep your mind connected to the breathing as much as you can.
You feel the breath enter,
You feel the breath leave.
You feel,
Become aware of the sensations within the ribcage.
As you breathe in,
You feel the expansion in the ribcage.
As you breathe out,
You feel the contraction in the ribcage.
Breathe in,
Feel the ribcage expand.
Breathe out,
Feel the ribcage contract.
Keep connecting your awareness more and more to the breath.
Breathe in,
You feel the air entering,
The ribcage expanding.
Breathe out,
You feel the air leaving,
The ribcage contracting.
Your mind connects more and more to the breathing.
More and more stillness grows within.
You engage your awareness more and more with the breath.
Breathe in,
The ribcage expands.
Breathe out,
The ribcage contracts.
Stillness grows within the mind.
Each time you breathe in and observe the breath,
Each time you breathe out and observe the breath,
You allow the stillness to grow.
Enjoy this feeling of stillness and you continue to watch the breath.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Stillness in the mind grows as the mind enjoys simply observing the breath without having to be distracted.
Mind enjoys the simple movement of the in-breath,
The simple movement of the out-breath.
The mind focuses more and more on the breathing.
Stillness creeps within.
You continue to be aware of your breath,
Of your breathing,
Of the simplicity of the breath,
The in-breath,
The out-breath.
You continue to allow the silence to enter into the mind as it focuses on the very simple act of breathing in,
Of breathing out.
The mind connects more and more to the breathing.
As the mind connects more and more to the breathing,
As you start to enjoy the stillness deep within,
You remain connected to the stillness deep within and you just become an observer of the mind,
Of the thoughts that come and go.
Without reacting to them,
You just watch the thoughts,
Seeing them as something external to yourself,
As waves of energy,
Waves,
Patterns that enter,
Leave.
You allow yourself to be connected to the point of stillness within.
From this point of stillness,
You simply observe the thoughts coming,
Going.
You watch them as waves,
Not reacting,
Just seeing the thoughts.
You remain connected to the peace,
The stillness within,
And you just observe.
You see how when the thoughts enter into the body,
They turn into feelings and emotions.
Again,
You just watch this,
You see that when the thoughts become something solid,
They turn into perceptions.
Again,
You watch these perceptions,
You see how they change according to the information that you have,
How these perceptions have no permanence,
How the thoughts have no permanence.
Feelings too,
Feelings come and go,
But there's no permanence there,
You just watch.
You see the thought patterns,
The feelings in the body,
The perceptions,
As they constantly change and you connect to the stillness deep inside yourself,
You start to observe the thoughts closely now.
You see how they're always changing from moment to moment,
Day to day,
How they can be sometimes very fast,
One minute thinking of one thing,
The next minute another.
You see that sometimes these thoughts can take you over.
When they do,
And then they enter the body,
They can cause anger to arise within you.
They can also take you over into the body,
Allow for guilt to arise within you.
Sometimes the thoughts become wild,
They enter into the body and turn into jealousy.
You observe how they have a habit of taking your peace away,
How sometimes they can even contradict themselves,
One minute you think one thing,
The next another.
And the same with your perceptions,
With more information your perceptions can change completely,
But before and after the knowledge,
The perceptions can generate a passion within you,
But the perception can contradict itself as it changes.
As you continue to observe the mind,
You see its potential for bringing turmoil within you,
Taking away your peace.
You see and observe how the thoughts,
The feelings,
The perceptions can try and control you,
Taking away your peace,
Distracting you from your natural state of peace.
You observe again how they are constantly changing,
How they have no permanence,
You observe them again without reacting to them,
But you feel and observe that when they do take you over,
When you react to them,
They simply cause turmoil and distress within.
Your real peace lies deeper than the mind,
A place deep within the heart,
A light that shines deep within the heart,
A light that shines throughout your heart,
Clears blockages,
Allows you to forgive,
And in this forgiveness allows you to be free.
This is your natural state of being,
Once the heart is open,
The light is liberated,
You're able to forgive,
To heal your own pain,
To forgive others,
Seeing that they too have had their own pain.
Once you can connect here,
Have compassion inside,
You feel that you're connected to permanent peace,
Permanent love,
You're connected to your original nature of sat,
Chit,
Anand,
Truth,
Consciousness and bliss.
When you're here,
You can be away from the distractions of the mind,
And all you have to do is make a conscious decision of whether you want to be ruled by the mind and its changes,
And the turmoil it can bring,
The changing thoughts,
The reactions it produces within you,
Or whether you want to be ruled by the heart,
To the softness,
The light it brings,
The forgiveness it brings,
The acceptance,
The understanding of other people's pains and sorrows,
The light it shines within,
Clearing blockages,
Allowing for you to be free.
Ask yourself,
Do you prefer your consciousness to be here in the heart and its light,
Or in the mind and its turmoil?
Continue to ask yourself this,
Feel your consciousness in your heart,
Feel light being spread,
Being liberated throughout the heart,
Feel lightness here,
Feel your entire heart being filled with light,
See the turmoil that exists in the mind,
And choose whether you want to connect to inner stillness,
Simply observing the mind and its changes,
And then connecting to your heart and its stillness.
Decide from deep within,
Observe how you feel deep within,
Choose the path of light that you know brings you more happiness,
More love,
More compassion,
More stillness,
More peace,
Choose the path that connects you back to sat,
Chit,
Anand,
To your natural state of santosha,
Contentment.
Just observe the mind,
Don't react to it,
Watch it as something distant,
Watch its waves,
Its fluctuations,
And decide if you want to be there,
Controlled by the mind and its uncertainty,
Its fears,
Its anxieties,
The sadness it can produce,
The worries,
The tensions it can produce,
Or whether you simply want to remain resting in the heart.
If you choose the heart,
See the light shining throughout every region,
Every chamber of the heart,
Feel the heart completely light,
Completely free,
And keeping the heart full of light,
You choose where you feel happier.
Just see the heart full of light,
The light radiating through each and every chamber,
Keeping each chamber of the heart filled with the light within.
Just observe the light within the heart,
Deciding where you would like your consciousness to remain.
Rub both palms together now,
Observe the mind,
The distractions of the mind,
Decide if you want to be pulled by it or not,
Decide if you enjoy being connected to the peace within,
The light within your heart.
Keep this decision deep within your heart,
Take your palms over your eyes,
Still seeing light within the heart,
Slowly remove your hands away,
Slowly open the eyes,
Remaining connected to the light deep inside your heart.
