In today's meditation,
We're releasing anxieties,
Stresses,
And worries,
And we're releasing them from your body.
So when you're ready,
Take a seat or lay down,
Get yourself comfortable,
And finding a nice,
Quiet,
And comfortable space.
Then close your eyes or lightly gaze forward,
And take a nice,
Deep breath.
As you inhale,
Bring in calmness,
Ease,
And as you exhale,
You exhale the tension from your body,
Noticing any areas in your body that has tension or stress,
And with each exhale,
Just letting that go,
Letting that release from your body.
With each inhale and exhale,
Get a deeper awareness into your body,
Just noticing it,
Becoming aware.
How does it feel right now?
Continue focusing on your breath and bring that attention more inward into you.
You can do a body scan,
Scanning from the top of your head and down to your toes,
Just noticing your head and face and back of head,
Just noticing if there's tensions or sensations down your neck and shoulders,
Down your arms to your hands,
Down the front of your torso and back,
Down to your hips and legs,
And down to your feet.
And what areas of your body is touching the surface beneath you,
And now intentionally invite the presence of any anxiety,
Stress,
Or worries into your awareness.
So think of a situation that brings you anxiety or stress,
As long as it's a level that you're okay as long as it's a level that you're okay with,
That you can connect with.
Maybe it's going to an event or dealing with certain people or stresses around work,
And just think of that situation and visualize you having to do whatever it is,
Be in it in this moment,
Having to deal with,
Interact with,
And allow these feelings of the anxiety,
Stresses,
Or worries to surface in your body,
And notice where they manifest,
Where you feel them.
Perhaps you notice them as a tightness in your chest,
A knot in your stomach,
Tension in your shoulders,
Or maybe blockage in your throat.
Just notice where,
What it is that you feel,
And then look at this place in your body,
The energy of the anxiety,
The stress,
Or worries,
And what color does it have,
What shape.
What shape?
Put an image to this.
Can you describe it?
Observe its characteristics without resisting or judging,
Just noticing it,
Putting some kind of description to it,
And then in your mind,
Express a willingness to communicate with this energy,
An openness.
Imagine having a dialogue with it.
You can ask it if it has anything it would like to say.
Maybe it has a message to share,
And why is it there?
Why is it present?
What is the anxiety or stress or worry,
And how is it trying to protect you,
Possibly,
Or inform you of something?
Take a moment to actively listen to the response.
This may come in the form of images,
Words,
Or sensations,
And be open to receiving the information without analyzing or overthinking it.
And trust your intuitive understanding of it,
And take a moment now and ask questions to this energy in you.
And as you gain insights,
Acknowledge and validate these feelings.
Recognize that anxiety and stress are messengers,
Often signaling a need for attention,
Self-care,
Or understanding.
And take a moment now as well and acknowledge these feelings.
You are safe in you,
And they have protected you and taken care of you,
Giving them compassion and love,
Allowing them to open up and compassion and love,
Allowing them to open up and be heard.
Then,
After hearing what your body and stresses,
Anxieties want to say,
Bring your focus back to your breath,
Inhaling deeply,
Drawing in that fresh,
Calming energy.
And as you exhale,
You release the tension in your body associated with those anxieties,
Stresses,
Or worries.
And continue bringing in the calmness and exhaling out these tensions.
Visualize that this heavy energy of these stresses and anxieties are dissipating and leaving your body with each inhale and exhale.
Then in your mind's eye,
Visualize the heavy energy transforming into a gentle stream,
Flowing away from your body,
And picturing it being absorbed by the earth,
Where the earth grounds it and neutralizes these intense emotions.
Then feel the positive energy replacing that space that once was occupied by the tensions and stresses.
Take another breath and express gratitude,
Gratitude for these insights that you've gained and gratitude for the release of these tensions.
You can continue to visualize this stream releasing down into the earth.
And when you're ready,
Gradually bring your awareness back to the present moment,
Taking another breath and back,
Coming back to your body.
You can move your body gently,
Noticing your fingers and toes,
And feeling a sense of lightness and ease.
Then you can open your eyes and carry this newfound calmness into your day and you come back to you.
