Good morning.
Welcome to my deck in northern Michigan.
My name is Jamie and let's sit together for just a couple minutes to breathe and relax and just have a better start to our day.
I'd like you to tune in to the background,
To the wonderful sound of nature.
You'll also hear the wonderful sound of my neighborhood.
So let's find a nice seated comfortable position.
You can go ahead and sit in a chair or you can lean up against a wall or if you're outside lean up against your deck.
And once you find your comfortable space go ahead and sit cross-legged.
Sitting up nice and tall,
Chin is lifted,
Roll those shoulders up and back,
Up and down.
And just take a moment to observe how you're feeling this morning.
Don't make any changes to your breath yet.
Just observe.
Observe where your energy is today.
Observe how your body is feeling today.
Unclench your jaw,
Put your tongue on the bottom of your mouth,
Soften your cheeks and the space between your eyebrows.
Drop them shoulders down.
And when you're feeling ready let's go ahead and do some meditative breathing here.
We're going to breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth to start.
Whenever you're ready,
Great big inhale through the nose.
Loud audible exhale,
Let it out.
And again inhaling through the nose.
Exhale,
Release.
And let's do this a few more times.
We inhale slow and exhale even slower.
And we're just going to continue on with this breathing pattern.
If you're comfortable enough,
Option to breathe in through the nose,
Out through the nose,
Or continue on with in through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Tune in to what the sounds of nature sounds like.
Feel how the air feels on your skin right now and how it even feels in the room that you're in if you're not outside.
If you'd like to set an intention you can go ahead and do so.
And it could be something as simple as just how you'd like to feel for these next few minutes together.
Or how you'd like to feel for the rest of your day.
Breathing in and out.
Know that you're doing your mind,
Body and soul a great service by just taking a few minutes to have some conscious breaths together.
Let's do this again.
Let's take three more breath cycles together.
Let's take one more for good measure.
Big inhale through the nose.
Loud,
Audible exhale.
Let it out.
Thank you for taking these few minutes to connect with us,
To connect with me,
Connect with yourself and connect with your breath most importantly.
If you'd like to go ahead and stand up and take a great big stretch to start your day,
Feel free to do so.
And again,
Thank you for taking a moment to listen to what northern Michigan sounds like.
I wish you a wonderful day.
May you be well.
May you be safe.
May you be at peace.
Namaste.
