Gently begin to bring your awareness back into the space,
Back to noticing sounds both near and far from you.
And I encourage you to allow your body and your mind to linger in this grounded and deep relaxing state for as long as you need.
There is no rush to rejoin the active chaotic world that awaits you outside.
It will be there whenever you are ready to return to it.
So I invite you to honor your body and what it needs today.
If remaining in a place of stillness is what it needs,
Honor that.
If indeed you are ready to reawaken the body,
Perhaps begin with small gentle movements,
Tiny micro movements,
Maybe tracing the thumbnail across the fingertips.
If you are in a reclining posture,
Maybe gently shake the head no,
Just rolling the head from side to side,
Chin to shoulder,
Chin to shoulder,
Always coming back to our overarching theme of today's Shavasana and that is of groundedness.
Reflecting on how that shows up for you both when you're in the actual state of relaxation and surrender and grounding and also when you're not.
Maybe if you are ready,
Graduate to larger movements,
Coming into the joints and rotating them,
Maybe the wrists and ankles,
But emphasizing on the rotation area that we normally don't explore or move in that range from our day-to-day activities because those are the areas that need the release of tension.
In your own time,
Use any remaining moments,
Explore postures,
Adding a stretch here or surrender there and gently coming to a seated position for the ceiling of today's practice.
I want to thank you for showing up for yourself today,
For giving yourself this gift.
Like that because it needs to be celebrated and you do as well.
With the eyes closed or a soft gaze off the bridge of the nose,
Take a deep luscious inhale,
Sweeping arms tall to the sky,
Exhale,
Open mouth sigh and drawing hands down to heart center prayer pose,
Soft bow on the head for gratitude.
Thank you again for showing up for yourself and going on this journey on your yoga mat.
It's not always easy.
I honor and respect the light in each and every one of you out here and with that we all say,
Namaste.
