Are you needing stress relief? Ujjayi pranayama is a great breathing practice and relaxes but energizes the body. Pranayama is a Sanskrit name meaning breath control. The Ujjayi breath is great to use if you are angry, anxious, or just overall stressed. This breathing technique is also great if you just need to get back to the present moment. I hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions. Have a great day.

Hello,

This is Yogi Brian and find a comfortable seat.

We're going to be learning a breath control technique.

It's called Ujjayi Pranayama.

It's called ocean breath,

Victorious breath.

You can call it really whatever you want.

This breath helps with anxiety,

Frustration,

Anger.

It also relaxes you.

So many benefits to this breath,

And it's a very simple breathing technique.

Now,

I just want to let you know,

Anytime you start a breathing program,

Breathing techniques,

Definitely listen to your body and also talk to your doctor if you're new to this,

Seek help with your doctor and just see if it's okay with your body with you.

But main thing is listen to your body.

If it's not feeling right for you,

Stop doing it.

Pay attention to the body.

But basically take an easy seat.

So legs crossed or you can sit on a chair or legs out in front of you or legs wide,

Or you can sit on your knees or sit on a bolster.

Don't overthink it.

Just keep the spine straight,

Chin slightly tucked,

Eyes closed.

And this is Ujjayi Pranayama.

So how we started is we inhale deeply through the nose,

Keep the mouth closed,

Inhale deeply through the nose.

Now I want you to open your mouth and sigh it out,

Constrict your throat.

Ah,

Okay.

Let's do it again.

Inhale deeply through the nose.

Open your mouth,

Sigh it out like you're fogging a mirror.

Okay.

Inhale deeply through the nose.

Exhale,

Constrict the throat,

Fog the mirror.

Okay.

Now keep this same breath.

Inhale deeply through the nose.

Now keep the mouth closed on the exhale,

Constrict the throat like you're fogging up the mirror.

So inhale through the nose,

Exhale,

Mouth closed,

Fog up the mirror,

Constrict the throat.

So the inhales sound like waves forming against the shore.

Inhale,

And the exhales sound like waves crashing against the shore.

Let's keep it going.

Inhale and exhale.

Inhale and exhale.

Inhale and exhale.

And just continue to do this breath.

You will feel relaxed,

But invigorated.

Your frustrations will diminish.

Your anger will diminish and you will feel joy.

You'll feel just light on your tippy toes.

You'll feel good.

So you'll strengthen and energize,

But also relax.

And this is your Ujjayi Pranayama breathing breath control.

Call it really whatever you want.

It's whatever you need with this breath work.

I hope it helps.

And thank you so much for listening to this tutorial.

Hope you have a great rest of your day and remember gratitude,

Gratitude,

Gratitude.

Namaste.
