Welcome to this guided meditation.
My name is yogi Brian and this is a meditation for driving.
So if you're driving,
Please stay awake,
Please stay alert and keep your eyes open.
Notice your hands on the steering wheel and just allow yourself to arrive,
Allow yourself to be right here.
Staying alert,
Staying awake,
But just noticing your breath and it's your natural breath,
Nothing to do or control.
Just noticing your hands on the steering wheel,
How does your hands feel?
Notice your foot on the pedal or the brake,
How does your foot feel?
And just notice how your body feels.
Notice how your mind feels.
Noticing your breath and maybe finding some gratitude for your vehicle.
Finding some gratitude for that amazing brain of yours,
Keeping you alert and finding gratitude for your vision.
You can see you're here,
You're alive right here,
Right now.
You're here,
Right now,
Listening to the sound of my voice,
Listening to this meditation.
Keeping yourself alert,
Awake,
Watching the road and just breathe that moment.
Keeping yourself alert,
Awake,
Watching the road and just breathing.
You have this amazing body of yours that's doing so many things to keep you alert,
To keep you here,
To keep you alive.
And sometimes we overlook all the things we're grateful for.
So maybe while you're driving,
You can think of all those things you're grateful for.
Friends,
Family,
Loved ones,
Pets,
Maybe you're driving to a job or maybe you're driving to an occasion.
Being grateful for the present moment,
Being grateful for your breath.
And just knowing you can only control you,
You can only drive one car.
You can't control anybody else out there,
Anybody else that's driving.
You can only control you and you can only control your breath.
So just breathe.
There you go.
And as you're driving,
You're feeling the energy of your body.
And as you drive,
I'll tell you a story,
One of my favorite stories of the Daoist farmer.
So there's a Daoist farmer and he has a horse.
And his neighbors come over and says,
Wow,
You have a horse,
You must be so lucky.
And the farmer says,
Maybe.
And the farmer says,
Maybe.
The next day,
The farmer's horse runs away.
The gate was open,
The farmer's horse runs away.
The neighbors come over and they said,
Oh,
You must be so unlucky,
Your horse ran away.
And the farmer said,
Maybe.
The very next day,
The horse came back with two other horses,
Two other wild horses.
So the farmer had three horses now.
The neighbors came over and says,
Wow,
Three horses now,
You're so lucky.
And the farmer said,
Maybe.
And the farmer said,
Maybe.
The next day,
The farmer's son was taking care of all the horses.
The farmer's son broke his leg.
The neighbors came over and they said,
You must be so unlucky.
You have all these new horses and your son broke his leg,
So unlucky.
And the farmer said,
Maybe.
The next day,
The military came into town.
They were recruiting for the war,
Taking the boys to fight the war.
And because the farmer's son had broke his leg,
They didn't take him to war.
And the neighbors came over and says,
Wow,
You're so lucky,
Your son didn't have to go to war because he broke his leg.
And the farmer said,
Maybe.
And that's the end of the story,
The story of maybe,
The Daoist farmer.
Maybe it's good,
Maybe it's bad.
We never know.
Only time will tell.
The universe always knows what it's doing.
Wherever you're going today,
Remember this story.
It's just a maybe.
Only time will tell how it plays out.
And the universe always has your back.
So I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you so much for meditating with me today.
Namaste.
