Welcome to this guided meditation.
My name is Yogi Brian and this meditation is for grief and loss.
So if you're struggling with a loss,
Either a relationship or loss of a loved one,
This meditation is for you.
And you can do this meditation lying down or seated,
Anywhere where you can keep your body still.
But if you do move,
That's okay.
Because there's no right or wrong way to meditate.
Now find a place where you can relax.
A place where you can be still.
And once you find that place,
Softly and gently close your eyes.
And allow yourself to be.
Allow yourself to feel.
Because this meditation is whatever you need.
Holding space for you.
And knowing you can listen to the sound of my voice.
And hear the shapes and the sounds and the vibrations of my voice.
And my voice will allow you to feel what you need to feel.
And during this meditation,
All we'll do is breathe and feel.
Breathe and feel.
Knowing you're safe and secure.
Supportive.
And so loved by the seen and unseen.
Because you're so loved and you're never,
Ever,
Ever alone.
Now bring your awareness and attention to your breathing.
And notice your breath.
Feel your breath.
And at times of loss,
It might be hard to breathe.
But just breathe.
Feel your inhale and your exhale.
Focus on your breathing.
Observe your breathing.
Feel your breathing.
And in just a moment,
I wonder if you can do this breathing technique to allow you to relax.
To allow you to settle into your body.
A grounding breathing technique.
Allowing you to settle and relax as you breathe and listen to the sound of my voice.
And in just a moment,
I wonder if you can do this breathing technique with me.
If you can,
That's great.
If not,
That's okay.
But in just a moment,
With your mouth closed,
You'll breathe in through your nose,
A four count.
You'll hold your breath,
A two count.
And you'll breathe out through your mouth,
Making a ha sound,
A six count.
So you'll breathe in through your nose,
A four count with the mouth closed.
Hold your breath,
A two count.
And exhale out the mouth,
A six count.
And to start,
Let's exhale all the air out of your body.
Make a ha sound.
Now close the mouth.
Breathe in for four.
In through your nose.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold the breath.
One,
Two.
Exhale,
Make a ha sound out the mouth.
Six.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Close the mouth.
Inhale four through the nose.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold the breath.
One,
Two.
Exhale out the mouth.
Six.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Keep that breath going on your own.
I'll give you some time.
Now release that breath in and out through your nose,
Mouth closed.
Find a comfortable,
Steady,
Natural breath for you.
And keep this breath,
This steady breath.
Feel this breath,
This steady breath.
And allow this breath to be your anchor.
Your anchor in your grief.
Your anchor with your feelings.
Anytime you need to come back to your body,
To your breath,
You come back to this smooth and steady breath.
The smooth and steady breath for you.
Now bring your attention and awareness to your body.
Just notice your body.
Feel your body.
And allow all that tension to dissolve in your body.
Each and every breath you take,
You feel a wave of relaxation all throughout your body.
Fully relaxing.
Fully letting go.
Whole body relaxes.
Deeper and deeper and deeper still.
Relaxing more and more as you listen to the sound of my voice.
And as you listen to the sound of my voice,
You relax.
You sink deeper.
You let go.
Wanting it to happen.
Wanting to relax.
Knowing you can relax.
Now bring your awareness and attention to your thoughts.
Just watch your thoughts.
Notice your thoughts.
Just like clouds,
The thoughts are clouds.
Rolling in and rolling out.
Nothing to do or control with your thoughts.
Just allow your thoughts to be.
And just allow those thoughts to roll away to a clear sky.
A clear blue sky is your mind.
A clear blue peaceful sky.
No clouds in sight.
Feeling the warm sun on your skin.
Your whole body and mind is relaxed as you listen to the sound of my voice.
And in just a moment,
I wonder if you can think of this grief or this loss.
And in just a moment,
I'll ask you to think of this grief and loss.
See it in your mind's eye and feel it.
It may be intense and that's okay.
But feel this feeling.
Now feel this feeling of grief.
See it in your mind's eye.
You may picture it.
You may hear it.
You may see it.
See it in your mind's eye.
Now allow that picture to fade away.
But stay with the feeling of this grief.
Stay with the feeling of this grief.
There's a place in your body where you feel this grief.
This pain.
Where in the body do you feel it?
Pinpoint it.
Locate exactly where it is in the body.
And once you know exactly where this feeling is,
This grief,
This sadness,
This pain,
You may start to see a color.
First color that comes to your mind.
First color you see.
This color can be one color or multi colors.
Several colors.
Or maybe you don't see a color at all and that's okay.
But if you were to see a color,
What color would this feeling,
This grief be?
Now start to pull this color out of your body.
This feeling,
This grief.
Pull this color out of your body.
This loss.
Pull it out.
And as you pull out this color,
The color may stay the same or it may change.
Pull it out.
All the way out.
And shape it into a ball out in front of you.
Pull this color,
This feeling.
Pull it out and shape it into a ball out in front of you.
It could be any size ball.
The color can change.
It can make a sound.
It can have a smell.
Pull this color out.
Shape it into a ball.
Pull it all out.
Sometimes it hides.
This energy hides.
Pull it all out.
Shape it into a ball.
And once you see this ball,
You notice that this ball is rotating.
It's spinning in a certain direction.
Which way is this ball spinning?
Now start to spin it the opposite direction.
Spin it the opposite direction.
Faster and faster.
Faster and faster.
Ten times faster.
Faster.
Ten times.
A hundred times faster.
Keep spinning this ball.
Spinning this ball.
Spinning and spinning and spinning until you know that this energy is transformed.
And when you know this energy is transformed,
You start to feel heat on your back.
And in your mind's eye,
You turn around and you see a great big fire.
A great big fire.
Now take this ball and toss it into the fire.
And as you toss it into the fire,
This feeling,
This loss,
This grief starts to fade away.
Starts to disappear.
Starts to dissolve into space.
Some people feel a sense of ease.
A sense of release.
Some people feel they can breathe easier.
Others feel a tingling up and down their spine.
What do you feel?
Coming back to your body.
Back to the present moment.
Back to the now.
And back to my voice.
Each and every breath you take,
You relax even more and more.
Feeling this sense of ease.
This sense of relief.
And as you breathe and listen to the sound of my voice,
Feeling this sense of ease and release,
Maybe saying this affirmation silently to yourself.
And the affirmation is,
Today is for healing.
I am gentle with myself as I move forward with love.
I'm surrounded by love.
Seen and unseen.
And I'm never,
Ever,
Ever,
Ever alone.
Today is for healing.
I am gentle with myself as I move forward with love.
I'm surrounded by love.

Coming back to this affirmation whenever you need it.
Coming back to your steady and natural breath whenever you need it.
And taking as much time as you need.

Thank you. Deeply and dearly, as I am finally able to recognize, allow and release the one I thought was the love of my life. The loneliness I've often felt with him is real. He finally had the courage to tell me that my intuition was right. He left a long time ago. At least we still love each other with kind regard from across the widening chasm that has been there all along. We smile at each other and nod. Love always my dear. 🙏💕
