Welcome to this guided grounding meditation.
A meditation to relax.
A meditation to arrive here to the present moment.
So find a place where you can lie down.
But if you can't lie down,
That's okay.
You can do this anywhere where you can keep your body still.
And once you find a quiet place where you can relax,
Softly,
Gently close your eyes.
And as you softly,
Gently close your eyes,
You start to arrive here to the present moment.
Arriving here to the present moment now.
And sometimes when we start a meditation,
Our minds can be all over the place.
And that's okay.
Just invite your mind back to your body.
Say,
Hey mind,
Come on back.
Come on back to the body.
Come on back to this room,
To this space.
Right here.
Right now.
And giving yourself this time for you.
This moment for you.
And during this meditation,
All you have to do is breathe and listen to the sound of my voice.
And if your mind wanders,
That's okay.
Just come back to the sound of my voice.
That's it.
And if your mind does wander,
That's normal.
It's natural.
Sometimes our mind wanders.
And that's perfectly normal.
It's perfectly fine.
Be gentle with yourself.
And now bring your attention and awareness to where your body is touching the ground.
Or the couch or the bed.
Bring your attention and awareness to where your body is touching the floor.
And start to feel connected to the ground.
Or whatever you're lying on.
Just feel connected and grounded.
And now take a scan of your body.
And notice any tension you feel.
Notice any tension you feel in your body.
And in just a moment,
I wonder if you can imagine a cord at the base of your spine.
And this cord goes straight down to the center of the earth.
And in just a moment,
All your stress,
All your tension from your body will go straight down this cord,
Down to the center of the earth.
Now,
All your tension,
All your worries,
All your cares,
Send it down this cord at the base of your spine.
All your worries,
All your cares,
All your cares,
Send it down this cord at the base of your spine.
And as you send the tension down this cord to the center of the earth,
You start to feel grounded.
You start to feel more relaxed.
Sending all your tension,
All your cares,
All your worries,
Your anxieties,
Your frustrations at the base of your spine down this cord to the center of the earth.
And in just a moment,
I wonder if you can imagine a big pair of scissors and you'll cut this cord,
Releasing all the tension down,
Down to the center of the earth.
Now,
Imagine a big pair of scissors and cut the cord at the base of your spine.
And the cord falls,
It drops down,
Down,
Down to the center of the earth.
All your cares,
All your worries are gone.
And you feel like you can breathe easier.
You feel lighter,
More at ease.
And now start to deepen your breathing,
Deepening your breath.
Your belly rises on the inhale and your belly falls on the exhale.
Belly rises on the inhale and falls on the exhale easily and naturally.
Your muscles feel softer and softer easily and naturally.
Your body feels heavier and heavier,
Heavier and heavier.
Body feels so heavy now,
So relaxed,
Feeling grounded,
Connected,
And at ease.
Now take a nice deep inhale through your nose and exhale,
Sigh it out.
Let it all go.
Let's do it again.
Take a nice deep inhale through your nose and exhale,
Sigh it out.
And taking this grounding energy with you throughout the rest of your day.
Have a great day.
