Welcome to this guided yoga nidra session.
My name is Yogi Brian and I'll be guiding you along the way.
All you have to do is breathe and listen to the sound of my voice.
So please get ready for yoga nidra.
Yoga nidra is best done lying down on your back.
So find a place where you can lie down,
Preferably not your bed.
Because when you're in your bed,
Your mind automatically wants to fall asleep.
And you'll want to remain awake during yoga nidra.
So find a place where you can lie down,
Either on a yoga mat,
A blanket.
And once you lie down,
Keep your body straight.
Palms up to the ceiling.
So the shoulders can relax.
Feet are hip distance apart.
And lengthen the back of the neck so your forehead is higher.
Imagine a line from the crown of your head between your legs.
Adjust the body until you are completely comfortable.
Feel the points of the body that contact the floor.
And feel heavier and heavier.
During the practice,
There's little or no movement at all.
Your eyes will be closed throughout.
When practicing yoga nidra,
Completely relax.
This is not a practice in concentration.
Just follow the instructions.
But if you miss some,
That's okay.
It doesn't matter.
What matters is you listen to the sound of my voice and the suggestions I say.
But you don't have to overanalyze the instructions or try to control the process.
Just follow with total intention and surrender.
Because the sound of my voice is so relaxing.
And right now,
I wonder if you can feel ten times more comfortable than before.
And allow your body to relax.
If thoughts do come,
Don't worry.
Take a passive approach to restless thoughts.
Just surrender,
Let them come and let them go.
Now allow yourself to fully relax.
Bring about a feeling of inner relaxation.
Concentrate on the body.
Be aware of stillness.
And as you lie there,
You deserve to relax.
And silently to yourself,
Repeat the word relax three times.
Whole body relaxes now.
Whole body surrenders.
Become aware of the fact that you are practicing yoga nidra.
Allow yourself to practice.
Allow yourself to be in the present moment.
Say to yourself silently,
I am aware I'm going to practice yoga nidra.
And say to yourself,
I will remain awake during the practice of yoga nidra.
But if you do fall asleep,
If you do drift off,
Don't worry.
Just come back.
The practice now begins.
We begin with a resolve,
An intention,
A sankalpa.
When our minds are relaxed,
We are open to auto suggestion.
Asking yourself,
What is my deepest desire in my heart?
What is my deepest desire in my heart?
The first answer that comes to you.
What is my deepest desire in my heart?
This deep desire is your sankalpa,
Your intention.
Create a positive statement from this intention,
The sankalpa,
Your deepest heart's desire.
Create a sankalpa.
I'll give you an example.
I listen to my body and give it the love and attention it needs.
I listen to my body and give it the love and attention it needs.
Now,
Create your own intention,
Your own sankalpa from your deepest desire of your heart.
And if you created your sankalpa,
Wonderful.
But if you didn't,
You can always use the example.
I listen to my body and give it the love and attention it needs.
Now,
State your sankalpa three times.
Say it silently to yourself three times.
Now allow your attention to naturally flow to your breath.
The natural flow of your breath,
Breathing in and breathing out.
And as you inhale,
Your attention is on the belly.
And as you exhale,
Send that exhale to your feet.
Inhale,
Belly.
Exhale to the legs.
Inhale,
Belly.
Exhale to the hands.
Inhale,
Belly.
Exhale to your arms.
Inhale,
Belly.
Exhale to the torso.
Inhale,
Belly.
Exhale to the back.
Inhale,
Belly.
Exhale to the shoulders.
Inhale,
Belly.
Exhale to your head.
Inhale,
Belly.
Exhale to the feet.
Inhale,
Belly.
Exhale to the crown of the head.
Inhale,
Belly.
Exhale to the entire body.
Whole body relaxes.
Whole body sinks deeper and deeper and deeper.
Fully relaxed,
Fully settled as you listen to the sound of my voice.
And I wonder if you can imagine a safe place,
A peaceful place.
Imagine a place where you felt so safe.
Maybe you were a child.
Or maybe it's now.
Or maybe it's a make-believe place.
One person I know,
Her safe place is on the beach with her feet in the sand,
Watching the sunset in the horizon.
Another person I know was at the top of his favorite mountain,
Looking out to the distance.
Now find your safe place.
Remember a time where you felt so safe,
So secure.
Go there now.
Now allow the picture to fade away of your safe place.
But stay with the feeling in your body.
Where in your body do you feel this safe energy?
This safe feeling.
Where in your body do you feel the safety?
Pinpoint exactly where you feel the safe energy.
And once you know exactly where you feel this safe energy,
You may start to see a color.
First color that comes to your mind in your mind's eye.
Some people see me as a person who is not a person.
Some people see multiple colors.
Other people don't see a color at all.
And that's okay.
You can just stay with the feeling,
The sensation of this safe energy.
But if you do see a color,
Allow this color to float out of your body.
And wrap it around your body like a nice,
Warm blanket.
A nice,
Safe,
Warm blanket of this safe energy.
Feel it all around your body,
Wrapped up all around your body.
Feeling so good,
So safe as you listen to the sound of my voice.
Sinking deeper and deeper into a relaxed state.
Now we come to the rotation of the body.
In just a moment,
I'll name a body part.
And you'll send your attention and awareness to this body part.
You don't need to tense this body part.
Just bring your awareness and attention and your breath to this body part.
Fully relaxing the body part,
I say.
Now bring your attention and awareness to your right hand.
Full attention,
Full awareness to your right hand.
Bring your awareness and attention to all the fingers in your right hand.
Right wrist.
Right forearm.
Right elbow.
Upper right arm.
Right shoulder.
Left hand.
All the fingers on your left hand.
Left wrist.
Left forearm.
Left elbow.
Upper left arm.
Left shoulder.
Bring your awareness to your right foot.
Right toes.
Top of the right foot.
Heel of the right foot.
Soul of the right foot.
Right ankle.
Right shin.
Right calf muscle.
Right knee.
Right thigh.
Right hip.
Right side waist.
Right armpit.
Bring your awareness to your left foot.
Full awareness,
Full attention to your left foot.
Left toes.
Top of the left foot.
Heel of the left foot.
Soul of the left foot.
Left ankle.
Left shin.
Left calf muscle.
Left knee.
Left thigh.
Left hip.
Left side waist.
Left armpit.
Now bring your awareness to your right shoulder blade.
Left shoulder blade.
Right middle back.
Left middle back.
Right lower back.
Left lower back.
Bring your awareness to the entire spine.
All the way up.
And all the way down.
Now bring your awareness to your entire back.
Full awareness,
Full attention to your entire back.
Bring your awareness to your right collarbone.
Left collarbone.
Right chest.
Left chest.
Upper stomach.
Middle stomach.
Lower stomach.
Right groin.
Left groin.
Bring your awareness to your entire torso.
Full awareness,
Full attention to your entire torso.
Bring your awareness to your throat.
Back of the neck.
Crown of the head.
Forehead.
Chin.
Right cheek.
Left cheek.
Lower lip.
Upper lip.
Bring your awareness to your tongue.
Upper mouth.
Left side of mouth.
Right side of mouth.
Bring your awareness to the back of the throat.
Bring your awareness to your entire inside mouth.
Bring your awareness to the tip of your nose.
The bridge of your nose.
Right nostril.
Left nostril.
Right eyebrow.
Left eyebrow.
Middle of the brow line.
Right eyelid.
Left eyelid.
Bring awareness to both eyes.
Fully relaxing both eyes.
Bring awareness to your right ear.
Left ear.
Now bring your full awareness,
Full attention to your entire head.
Full awareness,
Full attention to your entire head.
Bring your awareness to your right hand.
Left hand.
Both hands.
Right arm.
Left arm.
Both arms.
Right foot.
Left foot.
Both feet.
Right leg.
Left leg.
Both legs.
Bring your awareness and attention to your entire body.
Full awareness,
Full attention to your entire body.
And as you listen to the sound of my voice and the shapes of the sounds,
You'll continue to sink deeper and deeper and deeper still.
Now bring your awareness and attention to your breathing.
Feel the belly rise and fall with each breath.
And in just a moment,
I wonder if you can count your breathing,
Starting from 52.
In just a moment,
You'll say silently to yourself,
As the belly rises,
52.
And as the belly falls,
52.
The belly will rise as you inhale,
51.
And as you exhale,
The belly falls,
51.
Now breathe in,
52.
And breathe out,
52.
Breathe in,
51.
And breathe out,
51.
Counting backwards all the way down to zero,
Continue to count down.
Be gentle with yourself.
If your mind fades away,
Just start over at 52.
Well,
Your recognize that this is day 1.
Be sure to greet your friends first,
Walk away,
Please.
Your collapse will be fully cured in just a moment.
Stay strong.
Keep inside.
Then your thoughts will be回双et,
In full authorization.
Release your Let go of your breathing and come to a natural,
Steady,
Comfortable breath.
A natural,
Steady,
Comfortable breath.
And in just a moment,
I wonder if you can use that great imagination of yours.
And in just a moment,
I wonder if you can imagine yourself walking down a path in the woods.
And as you walk down this path,
You notice the trees,
The grass on each side of the path,
How you feel,
What you see,
What you hear,
And what you smell.
In just a moment,
You'll walk down this path and you'll feel so relaxed,
So tranquil as you listen to the sound of my voice.
Now imagine yourself walking down this path in the woods.
And as you look down,
You see your feet.
Your hands reach out and you can feel the tall,
Tall grass on each side of the trail,
On each side of this path as you walk down this path in the woods.
And noticing the trees you see,
The sounds you hear,
The smells you smell as you walk down this path.
Noticing the sounds of the birds,
The breeze on your skin,
You feel so good.
You feel like you're exactly where you need to be.
As you walk down this path,
Listening to the sound of my voice.
And through the trees,
You look up through the trees and you notice the full moon surrounded by branches and leaves.
You see the full moon through the trees in the distance.
And as you walk down this path,
You notice a meadow,
A clearing at the end of this path.
Continue to walk down this path to the meadow,
To that open space where there's no more trees and you're surrounded by tall,
Tall grass.
And as you approach,
You start to see the full moon clearly.
You start to feel this full moon energy in your body.
And now you're here in the meadow,
This opening,
This clearing,
And you look up and you see this full moon shining down on you.
And you soon realize this full moon's light is healing every single cell,
Every single muscle fiber in your body.
This full moon light fills your body with healing energy.
And as you feel this full moon's energy,
I wonder if you can think of something you'd like to release.
Maybe it's a feeling,
Stuck energy,
A relationship,
A situation.
The first thing that comes to your mind,
The first thing that you'd like to get rid of,
That you'd like to release,
That you'd like to let go.
Allow yourself to feel this.
Maybe visualize it,
Maybe see it in your mind's eye.
And once you do,
Give this full moon that energy,
Release that energy,
That stuck energy to the full moon.
And just like a magnet,
This full moon's light takes all that stuck energy,
All the things you need to surrender,
All the things you need to let go,
As you're standing in this meadow and this clearing,
That full moon's light is healing you,
Is taking this energy from you like a magnet,
Like a vacuum,
Taking this energy out of your body.
I'll give you some time as the full moon heals you and like a magnet takes this stuck energy out of your body.
All right,
Enjoy it.
And you look across the meadow and you see a silhouette of a person walking towards you.
In the silhouette of a person,
You feel so good,
Unconditional love by this person walking towards you.
In this person,
The silhouette walking towards you is getting closer and closer.
And as the silhouette as this person is walking closer and closer,
You realize who this person is.
This person is you,
Your higher self.
Give your higher self the biggest hug,
The biggest hug you can.
And this higher self already knows your sankalpa,
Already knows your intention.
Now ask your higher self,
How do I fulfill my sankalpa?
What actions do I need to take?
What actions do I need to take?
And ask your higher self any other questions,
Any other wisdom you need.
Now ask your higher self any other questions,
Any other wisdom you need.
Now thank your higher self for all this wisdom,
All this love.
And give your higher self another great big hug,
Unconditional love.
This is your higher self always guiding you,
Always there for you.
And now turning around and walking down that path in the woods.
Walking down that path in the woods,
Realizing all this wisdom you received.
Realizing all the surrender you gave to that full moon.
And noticing how you feel as you walk down this path in the woods.
And in just a moment I'll count down from 10 to 1.
And once I come back to 1,
You'll come back to the present moment.
To your room,
To your space,
To the now.
And when you come back to your room,
You'll feel so free with all the wisdom you received from your higher self.
This full moon energy has healed your entire body.

Coming back to the room,
Coming back to the now.
Feeling your whole body healed,
Free,
Calm,
Peaceful.
And knowing what action you need to take to fulfill your sankalpa.
Knowing your higher self is always with you,

Ever alone.
