Hello and welcome to this guided meditation on the throat chakra,
Vishuddha.
Vishuddha chakra is located in the area of the throat,
Mouth and ears.
It's associated with being willing to choose a self-expressive,
Honest and creative life.
Having a full resonant voice,
Being able to communicate clearly,
Being able to listen to others and being truthful to yourself and others are signs of a balanced throat chakra.
Vishuddha is predominantly blue and its sound is hum.
H A M.
So please make yourself as comfortable as you possibly can be.
You might choose to lie down,
Sit up,
Sit in a chair,
It really doesn't matter as long as you feel very comfortable and very supported.
You can have your eyes open,
You can have your eyes closed,
You can open your eyes and close your eyes whenever you like.
Remember that you're in complete control and you can move whenever you like and however you like.
If it feels okay you could now gently bring your attention to your breath,
Your natural breath.
There's no right or wrong way of breathing here.
This is a practice of bringing your attention gently to the breath,
The natural breath.
Not trying to breathe in any particular way,
Gently noticing your natural breath in and your natural breath out.
Watching it with curiosity,
Love and not being judgmental.
You might find that as you are gently noticing your breath,
It becomes a little smoother.
Allow your breath to become very smooth and very relaxed.
You might notice that your smooth and relaxed breath helps you to feel a little more calm and relaxed.
And then bring your attention to your throat and around the mouth and ears.
This is where the throat chakra is located.
If it feels okay,
Take a few moments to explore and experience any sensations you might notice around the throat,
Mouth or ears.
And now keeping your awareness at the throat chakra,
Also bring your attention now back to the breath,
Back to your natural breath.
So now you're keeping your focus on your throat as well as on your breathing.
When your mind wanders,
Just gently bring your attention back to your breath and back to the throat.
If you find it's easier to maintain your awareness either on your breath or at the throat chakra,
You can choose one and allow your attention to settle there.
And then you could bring to mind the colour blue.
Sensing a beautiful blue in any way you wish.
Maybe the beautiful blue of a clear blue sky or a crystal blue sea.
And in your mind's eye,
Allow the blue image to become a blue liquid or a blue light or a blue mist.
And imagine it within and all around your throat,
Mouth and ears.
Sensing a cleansing healing blue liquid or glowing blue light or blue healing mist in and all around the throat,
Mouth and ears.
The throat chakra is associated with your right and responsibility to express yourself and to be heard based on your inner authority.
It's related to recognizing your true essence.
Letting go of dishonesty and being accountable for your actions is healthy and healing.
The throat chakra teaches that while you have the right and responsibility to be creative,
You are accountable for the choices you make.
These are some of the throat chakras lessons.
To help integrate these lessons,
You can repeat the following statements either out loud or silently.
I express myself clearly.
I have the right to be heard.
Notice what happens as you say these statements to yourself.
I express myself clearly.
I have the right to be heard.
How do you react these basic rights?
You might also say,
I release and let go of dishonesty.
I communicate my thoughts and feelings with crystal clarity.
I speak the truth.
I hear the truth.
I speak the truth.
I hear the truth.
The next part of the meditation involves the use of sound.
The sound of the Vishuddha chakra is hum.
Hum.
The sound of hum will send a healing vibration that can strengthen and balance this chakra.
You can choose to either repeat the mantra hum either out loud or silently.
To do this,
You breathe in and you repeat hum as you exhale.
Hum.
Hum.
Hum.
Hum.
Hum.
Keep repeating hum on every exhale with your awareness focused all around throat,
Mouth and ears.
Hum.
Hum.
Hum.
Hum.
Hum.
Hum.
Hum.
You might even start to feel the sound of hum vibrating all around the throat,
Mouth and ears.
And when you stop chanting hum,
Keep your awareness all around the throat,
Mouth and ears and notice anything you notice.
Feel anything you feel,
Any sensations you notice.
And then take some time to focus either on the location,
Colour,
Affirmations or sounds of this chakra.
You could focus on sensations at your throat or the colour blue.
Your right and responsibility to speak and hear the truth.
To release dishonesty.
Perhaps you'd feel most comfortable continuing to repeat hum.
Follow your intuition.
And to begin the transition back,
You might notice your breath.
You might even deepen your breath.
You might be able to notice the surface that's supporting you.
And when you feel ready,
You could begin to move a little.
Moving in any way that feels right for you.
And thank you for joining me in this guided meditation on Vashuta Chakra.
