Hello and welcome to the guided meditation on Anahata Chakra,
The fourth chakra.
Anahata is connected to the lungs,
Heart and arms and the heart energy is the centre of the chest.
Anahata Chakra is all about being able to love and be loved as well as with being compassionate towards not only others but also yourself.
Forgiveness is the key to healing and balancing Anahata and this results in being non-judgmental,
Feeling content,
Trusting,
Loving and having a peaceful heart.
The colour is predominantly green and the mantra is yum.
Please choose a very comfortable position.
You might choose to lie down or to sit up or to use a chair.
It really doesn't matter as long as you are very comfortable,
Completely comfortable.
And feel very supported.
During the meditation you might choose to open your eyes,
Close your eyes and you can open and close them anytime you like.
You are in complete control so you can move whenever you like and you can move however you like.
If it feels okay for you,
You could very gently bring your attention to your breath,
To your natural breath.
There's no right or wrong way of breathing here.
It's a practice of tuning into your breath,
Beginning to notice the natural breath in and the natural breath out.
It's like you're very gently,
Curiously,
With no judgement,
Watching your natural breath.
And you might find that after a few moments your breath becomes quite smooth.
It might even help you begin to feel relaxed and calm just by noticing your natural breath in and natural breath out.
You could now take your awareness to the centre of your chest.
This is where the heart chakra is located.
Taking a few moments to explore and experience any sensations you might notice around your heart centre.
Just noticing anything you notice,
Feeling anything you might feel.
And now keeping your awareness at the heart centre,
Keep your attention back on the breath.
So now you're keeping your focus on the heart centre as well as on your breathing.
When your mind wanders,
Just gently bring your attention back to your breath and back to the centre of your chest.
If you find it easier to maintain your awareness either on your breath or at the heart centre,
Choose one and gently allow your attention to settle there.
Now you could bring to mind a beautiful green colour.
Sensing this green colour in any way you wish.
You might imagine the green colour of the grass,
Trees in spring,
Perhaps a beautiful green emerald.
In your mind's eye,
Allow this green image to become a beautiful green liquid or light or a green mist.
And imagine it soaking and enfolding the heart centre.
Sensing,
Cleansing,
Healing green liquid or glowing light.
Or a healing mist in and all around the heart centre.
Anahata chakra is associated with your right and responsibility to love and to be loved.
Resolve in and out of your heart centre.
Anahata chakra is associated with your right and responsibility to love and to be loved.
Resolving and letting go of grief and forgiving others and yourself for loss,
Betrayal and suffering is healthy and healing and it's one of the lessons of anahata chakra.
To help integrate these lessons into your whole being,
You could repeat the following statements either out loud or silently.
I have the right to love.
I have the right to be loved.
Notice what happens as you say these statements to yourself.
I have the right to love.
I have the right to be loved.
How do you react to these basic rights?
I have the right to love.
I have the right to be loved.
You could also say I release and let go of grief.
I forgive myself and others.
My heart is strong and sensitive.
My heart is full of compassion for myself and others.
I am lovable.
The next part of the meditation involves the use of sound.
The sound of anahata chakra is yam.
And the sound of yam will send a healing vibration to strength and balance anahata chakra.
You can repeat the mantra yam either out loud or silently.
If you'd like to try it,
You breathe in and then you repeat where you are.
And then you repeat yam as you exhale.
And you can keep repeating this on every exhale.
Yam.
With your awareness focused at the heart centre,
Maybe even visualising,
Imagining or feeling a green at the heart centre.
Yam.
After a while,
You might even start to feel the sound of yam vibrating all around the heart centre.
And as you stop chanting yam,
Maintain your awareness gently around the heart centre,
Noticing any sensations you might notice.
And now take some time on your own to focus on the location,
Colour,
Affirmation or sound of anahata.
Simply follow your own intuition.
You might focus on any sensations at your heart centre or the colour green or your right and responsibility to love and be loved or to release grief,
To forgive,
To forgive and be compassionate.
Or you might feel most comfortable repeating yam,
Yam,
Yam,
Following your own intuition.
And as you ease into transitioning back,
You could start by noticing your breath again,
Perhaps even deepening it,
Becoming aware of whatever it is that's supporting you,
Maybe hearing a little more.
And when you feel ready,
Bringing in any way you like a little movement back to the body.
Thank you so much for joining me in this guided meditation on Anahata Chakra.
