Hello and welcome to this guided meditation on Ajna chakra.
This is the sixth chakra,
Sometimes called the third eye chakra.
It's located in the center of the forehead.
It's associated with being insightful and intuitive,
Being self-reflective and imaginative,
As well as having a good memory,
Good dream recall,
Having a guiding vision for life,
Being able to recognize wisdom in all situations and being very intuitive are indicators of a balanced Ajna chakra.
Its color is predominantly indigo and its Bijan mantra is Om.
Please take a very comfortable position.
You might lie down,
You might sit up in a chair or supported by the wall,
As long as you feel very comfortable,
Very supported,
Knowing that you can move whenever and however you like to make yourself and keep yourself very comfortable.
You could choose to have your eyes open or closed and you can open and close your eyes whenever you like.
If it feels okay you could very gently bring your attention to your natural breath.
Just noticing,
Breathing in and breathing out.
There's no particular way you need to breathe and there's no right or wrong way of breathing here.
It's a practice of gently noticing your natural breath in and your natural breath out.
You might notice that by bringing your attention to your breath it naturally starts to become a little more smooth and a little more relaxed.
And this smooth and relaxed natural breath can help you to feel calm and centered.
You could now bring your awareness to the center of your forehead between the eyebrows.
This is where Ajna Chakra is located.
Taking a few moments to explore and notice any sensations you might notice at Ajna Chakra,
The center of your forehead.
Maintaining your awareness at the center of your forehead,
Bring your attention back to your breath.
So now you're keeping your focus on your third eye as well as your breathing.
When your mind wanders gently bring your attention back to your breath and to your forehead.
If you find it's easier to maintain your awareness either on your breath or your forehead,
Choose one and allow your attention to settle there.
And bring to mind the color indigo,
Sensing the color in any way you wish.
Indigo is a deep blue violet color.
In your mind's eye allow this beautiful indigo image to become an indigo liquid or an indigo light or a misty indigo.
And imagine it within and all around the third eye,
The center of your forehead.
Sensing a cleansing indigo liquid or light or healing mist in and around your forehead.
Ajna Chakra teaches that it's through opening the mind to intuition and wisdom and letting go of personal beliefs and purifying perceptions that your real spiritual intelligence is developed.
It's important to be self-reflective and to learn how to watch,
Witness and see the big picture.
To let go of false truths and illusions.
And to know that you have the right responsibility and the ability to access intuitive wisdom and universal truth.
To help you integrate these lessons into your whole being,
You could repeat the following statements either out loud or silently.
I have the right and responsibility to see the big picture.
I have the right to be intuitive.
I have the right and the responsibility to see the big picture.
I have the right to be intuitive.
Notice what happens as you say these statements to yourself.
I have the right and responsibility to see the big picture.
I have the right to be intuitive.
How do you react to these basic rights?
You could also say I release and let go of illusion.
My innate intelligence and insight is wise.
My intuition is trustworthy.
I follow my inner wisdom.
The next part of the meditation involves the use of sound.
The sound of Ajna chakra is Om.
And the sound of Om will help send a healing vibration to strengthen and balance this chakra.
You can repeat the mantra Om either out loud or silently.
You breathe in and then you repeat Om as you exhale.
Om,
Om,
Om,
Om,
Om.
Keep repeating this on every exhale.
Om,
Om,
Om,
Om.
With your awareness focused at your forehead.
You might even start to feel the sound of Om vibrating at the centre of your forehead.
And as you stop chanting Om,
Keep your awareness at the centre of your forehead and notice anything you notice sensing anything you sense at your forehead.
Now take some time on your own to focus on either the location,
Colour,
Affirmations or sounds of Ajna chakra.
Follow your own intuition.
You might focus on sensations at your forehead or the colour indigo or your right and responsibility to be intuitive or to release illusion,
To be wise.
Maybe you'd feel more at ease repeating Om.
Follow your own intuition for the next few moments.
Om.
And to make your transition back you might notice your natural breath again.
Perhaps allow your breath to deepen.
Perhaps sensing whatever it is that's supporting you.
And when you feel ready begin to introduce movement back to the body.
Moving in a way that feels right and nice for you.
Thank you for joining me in this guided meditation on Ajna chakra.
