Welcome to your prenatal meditation.
Congratulations on this exciting and big news.
Whether you are in your first trimester or the third,
Welcome to the space that is especially for you,
That is specifically meant for you and your baby.
Allow yourself to find a comfortable position,
Whether that's lying down on your side or maybe seated,
Making sure that you're as comfortable as possible and knowing that you can make any shifts throughout this time together.
Notice whether or not you want your hands over your belly,
Maybe one hand on the belly,
One hand over your heart.
This time can be filled with so many different emotions and every day is different than the last.
Feeling a sense of gratitude towards your body,
Your mind,
Your heart,
Everything that you are.
This is no easy task,
One of the many reasons that we are in fact superheroes.
You may feel like there's so much to accomplish and do and get done during this time and it's equally as important to give yourself space to simply be.
Carving out this time,
This space is so important and crucial to this journey.
Your body is constantly working and literally creating a whole new life and your baby and you benefit from every moment that you're able to slow down and connect,
Be at ease.
Notice how you're feeling,
Knowing that wherever you are is exactly where you're meant to be in this moment and there's nothing that you should be doing.
You could be doing a million other things and instead you're here and you've carved out the space to be with yourself and to connect with your baby.
Notice the consistency of your breath,
The temperature as it moves in through your nose and the difference between that and how it feels as it moves out of your body and maybe beginning to elongate your exhales and slowing down the breath and maybe bringing in more breath every time you inhale and ask yourself,
What are you here to replenish today?
What about your experience do you want to make more space for?
Or maybe there's something that you're grieving during this time or releasing.
This is in so many ways an initiation in your journey,
In your life and there's so many adjustments that are going to be made throughout this process and in this moment there's nothing else you have to do.
The purpose of this time together is to allow yourself to become more comfortable with whatever is that you're experiencing and maybe things that come up during this moment of quietude,
Of stillness,
Of being with yourself and baby.
Maybe there's something there that later on you can write down or express to someone that you're close to in your life.
For now,
Becoming aware of these things is all that I'm asking of you and maybe you end up dozing off and going somewhere in outer space.
Maybe you stay connected to my voice.
Whatever it is that transpires is perfect in this moment.
There's no way to do this incorrectly.
The fact that you are showing up for this is exactly it,
It's the work already.
And as you're softening into the space and adapting to this moment of ease,
What do you notice in your body?
Noticing maybe points of tension or maybe feeling sensations from baby if you're at that point.
Maybe you incorporate visualization into this practice of how you want your pregnancy to feel as you move forward.
If at any point you become overwhelmed by feelings or thoughts or sensations,
You can always open your eyes if they aren't already,
You can place your hands somewhere along the body if they aren't already.
Reminding yourself that this is all very temporary even though it feels like a long process,
Like a long journey.
Maybe connecting with something that you're really enjoying about this time with baby.
Maybe something that you want to savor and remember and keep with you for many,
Many years to come.
Reminding yourself that you are strong and that you're more than capable of doing hard things and that it's necessary to rest and literally do nothing.
Reminding yourself that you are so powerful and everything that it's taken to be in this specific moment.
Maybe you breathe in a little bit deeper for a few rounds.
Maybe allowing yourself to breathe in and out with a little more intention for a few rounds.
Noticing which breath comes with more ease today.
Is it the inhales?
Is it the space between breaths?
Is it the exhales?
I'm here to remind you that you're doing such an amazing job,
That you are already an amazing parent and that whatever you're experiencing and feeling today is very valid.
And if no one has told you today yet,
I see you.
I know your strength.
I know how much you love this being that is inside you and I know how much you have endured to be here now.
Let's breathe in together for a handful of rounds.
Breathing into your belly,
Into your heart,
Filling yourself up with breath and with an open mouth,
Releasing all of your air,
Exhaling,
Relaxing as you let go.
And inhale.
Big exhale.
Invite in an even bigger breath in and an even bigger breath out.
A couple more like that.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Last one together here.
Inhale,
Take in as much air as you can and exhale.
And finding a breath that is comfortable for you,
Whispering or saying out loud anything that you'd like to your baby.
And one final breath here together.
You're doing an amazing job.
Inhale and exhale.
Feel free to stay here wherever you are and enjoy these moments together for as long as you need.
If you are ready to conclude and if you feel complete,
If you aren't already,
Come up to a seated position.
Take your time,
Move slow and blink your eyes open if they aren't already.
Taking in your space,
Noticing anything that resonates,
That brings you joy and smiling,
Feeling a sense of gratitude for all that you've done and are doing day in and day out.
Thank you for being here and I'll see you next time.
