Take a comfortable seat or lie down.
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Step one.
Let's begin by simply noticing.
How do you know that you're breathing?
Feel the gentle rhythm of your breath flowing in and out.
Notice how life is breathing you.
Step two.
Now bring your attention to the surface beneath you.
What is holding and supporting your body right now?
Feel that contact.
Whether it's the floor,
A chair or the earth itself.
Step three.
With your next exhale gently begin to relax.
Soften your eyes,
Your jaw,
Your shoulders,
Your belly,
Your whole body all the way down to your toes.
With each out-breath let go a little more.
Step four.
Now as you continue to breathe imagine your body becoming heavier.
Allow yourself to be fully supported by the earth beneath you.
With every exhalation let go and surrender a bit more.
That's it.

Step five.
Now imagine you're cradled in a gentle hammock suspended from the sky.
As you breathe in you're slightly lifted.
As you breathe out you gently sway and settle.
Let yourself be moved by the vital energy of life moving through your body right now.
Effortless and calm.
Stay here for a few more moments.
Being fully supported,
Deeply connected,
Breathing in calm and breathing out tension.
And when you're ready gently return to the space around you.
