This meditation helps guide you back to inner equilibrium and peace when agitation or disturbance is present. Excerpt: "It's important to be aware of any tensions or agitations because they can act as a barrier to coming into a peaceful or meditative state if they are not seen or acknowledged. Let yourself see and feel whatever is present - without thinking about it. Thinking about a disturbance is an escape from seeing and feeling it fully." The sound of crickets at dusk provides a lovely background ambiance to this meditation.

Okay.

So yeah,

If you can go ahead and close the eyes and just allow your attention to settle in to your body,

Bringing the attention within and being open,

Open to see,

To be aware of your own inner state.

And we're not trying to,

So not glossing over anything,

Kind of not sort of half seeing something and thinking that we know what it is,

But really just being open,

Just seeing.

And that doesn't mean thinking about or trying to analyze what's there.

It's just really being with it,

Being easy in the body,

Being relaxed as much as you can.

And at the same time,

Being aware if there's any tensions.

And it's really important to be aware of these things,

Any tensions there,

Because that there are what act as a barrier to coming into a meditative or peaceful state if they're not seen or acknowledged.

So we're just aware,

Staying nice and easy.

And even if there's an agitation or a strong tension,

It might not be comfortable,

But we can just be as relaxed with it as possible.

So the tension or the agitation might be quite strong and comfortable,

But we're completely relaxed and easy with it.

And this is how we get some space or perspective of what's inside of us,

Not identifying with our tensions and restlessness,

Being just being aware of them.

And so there's nothing that we need to hide from,

Nothing inside of us that we need to be afraid of.

It's all okay to allow yourself to see and to feel.

Key is to see or to feel whatever's there without letting your mind think about it or noticing if your mind is thinking about it.

Thinking about it is really,

It's an escape from actually being with and feeling it fully or seeing it fully,

Really being here,

Fully present.

And through this,

You might start to feel and be aware of your body more.

It's not all necessarily tense or agitated,

But you might just feel also some of the natural sensation in the body or feeling in the body,

Which gives a nice ground.

You might start to notice or be aware of tingling,

Warmth or heaviness in the different parts of the body.

And this is when you can start to just be in a more peaceful state where there's nothing that we're avoiding or pushing aside.

Staying here in this place,

If you're ready,

You can gently open your eyes,

Not leaving,

Still staying here,

And you can wiggle your toes,

Stretch.
