Please take a few moments to find your way to a comfortable position,
Whether that be seated or a supine position,
Whatever is of preference to your body today.
Preparing for our forgiveness practice,
Training the heart-mind to accept and befriend this embodiment.
Eventually finding our way to relative stillness,
We'll invite the windows of the eyes to gently close,
Finding a few cycles of breath in through the nose and out through the mouth to intentionally arrive.
Softening through the muscles of the body.
Forgiveness practice is a courageous practice and it may be of support to some of us to place a hand gently upon the heart center.
Holding compassion for ourselves and allowing our attention to reside at the heart center,
Beginning to silently repeat towards ourselves as best we're able.
Forgiveness is more powerful if I've harmed myself intentionally or unintentionally,
Through thought,
Word,
Or action,
I forgive myself.
And repeating,
If I have harmed myself intentionally or unintentionally through thought,
Word,
Or action,
I forgive myself.
If I have harmed myself intentionally or unintentionally through thought,
Word,
Or action,
I forgive myself.
Continuing to repeat this forgiveness practice over and over,
And no matter how many times the mind may drift or wander away,
We'll gently return and begin the phrase once again.
If I have harmed myself intentionally or unintentionally through thought,
Word,
Or action,
I forgive myself.
