Transcript
Close your eyes and start to relax.
Settling into your seat,
Getting comfy,
Taking any little last minute movements or wiggles that might feel good to just set yourself up for stillness.
Starting to tune in to any sounds that you may hear or any smells.
Taking note of the temperature around you.
Just letting all of these things become part of your experience as you relax deeper,
Sinking heavier into your seat.
Starting to deepen the breath down into the belly.
Filling it all the way up like a big balloon on your inhales.
And squeezing all the air out on your exhales,
Pulling your navel all the way back to your spine.
Just continue breathing in that pattern for a few more rounds as you start to roll the eyes up and back into your head,
Just as if you could look through your own crown.
Holding them there for just a moment.
Feeling a little bit of a strain or a fluttering in your eyelids.
Signaling that it's just time to relax.
And then once you reach the bottom of your next exhale,
Go ahead and release the eyes.
Letting go of every muscle and every nerve in and around the eyes.
Relaxing your face even more.
Smoothing out the forehead and unclenching the jaw.
Even letting go of your tongue.
Just starting to melt away any tension that you might be carrying down the back of the neck and shoulders.
Imagining just as if you had a switch that you could flip to just turn off every single nerve and every single muscle that's holding on to anything from the day or the week or the month.
Continuing down from the shoulders,
Switching off all the way down the arms and through the chest.
Smoothing more through the belly and releasing the hands.
Letting go and turning off through the hips.
Just switching off every little nerve all the way down your legs.
All the way down to the very tips of your toes.
And tilt your chin down just an inch or so so that you feel that same feeling as if you were looking down a flight of stairs.
And just imagining that you could gaze down at your own feet.
Starting to feel them and see them connecting with the warm planks as you walk down a wooden boardwalk that leads out into the sand of your very own private beach.
Feeling the waves coming in from the distance.
And starting to feel your feet connect with every step on these warm planks as you make your way down to the very end of the boardwalk.
Sinking down five steps that lead into the sand.
Relaxing deeper as you move down onto step four.
Sinking even deeper into relaxation as you step down onto step three.
Feeling your body totally letting go as you move down to step two.
And releasing any last bits of tension as you sink even deeper into relaxation as you step down further onto step one.
And just drifting off as you step down into the warm sand.
Feeling your feet sinking deeper as you sink even deeper into relaxation.
And feeling your feet in the sand as you continue to walk slowly down the beach.
Feeling in the gorgeous sunset.
And feeling the most peaceful feeling taking over as you pause to take it all in.
Feeling the breeze through your hair and against your face.
Feeling the waves gently crashing in.
As you start to notice your feet sinking slightly deeper into the sand.
And slowly you start to realize that you're standing right in the middle of a big patch of quicksand.
How peculiar.
And noticing now that the more that you relax,
The better that you feel.
Noticing this sense of curiosity starting to come over you now.
Feeling that you're totally safe here.
To just notice all of the sensations of completely relaxing even deeper into the deepest rest.
And just allowing yourself now to be fully covered in this curious quicksand as it starts to get dark all around you.
Just as if you could swim down.
Starting to sink faster now just as if you're going through a tunnel all the way down,
Further down into the core of the earth.
Feeling yourself landing gently.
Feeling as your eyes just begin to see.
Striking a match.
Finding a little lightness returning.
Just enough to make out the details of your surroundings inside of this cave.
Taking a little walk around.
Taking it all in.
And now stepping into another cave where you will find exactly what's been holding you back.
Being here or feeling so clearly what's keeping you really stuck.
In doubt or disbelief in yourself.
Or maybe in what's possible for you.
Perhaps it's a pattern or a habit that's no longer serving.
Seeing it so clearly now exactly what's been holding you back.
Moving in closer and starting to embrace this thing.
Squeezing it so tightly.
And taking a moment to honor it as a part of your past.
With so much compassion here.
And now squeezing it even tighter so that you dissolve any fear that lives here.
Squeezing it right out.
And feeling all of that fear simply crumble down into the earth beneath you.
And once you feel that all of that fear is gone.
Left here with a deep sense of knowing exactly what actions that you need to take to fully integrate these feelings into function.
Using them now as fuel to help guide you forward.
And seeing it all becoming so clear now.
Knowing exactly what it will take to bring your dream into your life with so much ease and grace.
And whenever you're ready taking all these details with you.
As you turn around and make your way out of the cave and down another tunnel which leads you all the way out into the depths of the ocean.
Feeling in all of the wonders around you.
And feeling yourself floating so weightless here.
Completely free of that sinking feeling that was holding you down.
Moving now so smoothly and so focused.
As you start to make your way up,
Up,
Up towards the shore.
Feeling so clear on exactly what it is that needs your attention.
Feeling so ready and recharged.
Motivated and inspired to take this aligned action.
Ready to move forward as you start to make your way all the way back up now.
Bringing your attention all the way back to your body.
As you remember every single detail and every single message that you just received.
Coming back up feeling so confident and clear.
As you start to make your way back to full awareness.
Coming all the way back into your body with a big stretch with your next inhale.
Coming all the way back awake now.

Powerful. In the world, I sat still on a stone bench, overlooking a verdant valley. In the meditation, inside the cave, swirled a compact bundle of writhing energy, twisting and projecting and shifting to be whatever it thought, whatever I felt, might possibly be approved of, be loved, be enough. I embraced it, saying, “You are. You are enough. You’re exactly what you’re supposed to be. How could it be otherwise?” On the bench, my eyes teared and my nose filled and I wondered if the older couple who’d been sitting on the next bench when I started would be alarmed, and chose not to care for their feelings, since I can’t anyway, and instead cared for my own. I’m suffused with calm and peace and new understanding. Thank you.

Thank you for this amazing journey. I couldn't see my fears so well. Guess that I hid them, tugged them away. Hopefully on a second tour with you, I will see them. Often I have a longing to break free, but then I feel stuck in my day-to-day life. I want to learn to be strong at will power, pushing through when my brain directs me to comfortness (watching television). The want to lay on the couch and watch TV is comparable to the want of chocolate. Do you have a way to do something else then? - I suppose the answer is "just do it". Follow the goal. What do you suggest?
