Sit in a relaxed,

Upright posture on the floor,

In a chair,

Or on the edge of the bed.

Sit in such a way that you can be effortlessly,

Sustainably straight,

Supported completely by pillows,

Positioning,

And your own spine's most natural,

Stacked curve.

Make conscious contact with the ground,

And sense how you are elevated through space.

Relax every part of your body you're used to holding up,

Holding in,

Or trying to correct.

Relax your shoulders,

Arms,

And hands.

No effort,

Just release and your presence.

Relax your face,

Jaw,

And the muscles around your eyes.

Allow your belly and pelvic floor to let go.

You don't need to hold in or hold up right now.

Invite your hip flexors to be still,

And know they are safe.

You are safe.

You don't have to run.

You don't have to be ready to run.

If you find out you have to run,

Tell your hip flexors they will know soon enough,

And you will be running.

They can trust that.

But right now,

You are safe and still,

And your hip flexors can disengage.

Your legs are made of warm mud.

You are sitting in a nourishing,

Waist-deep throne of mud that perfectly supports your freedom.

You are solidly protected by this anchor that allows you to fly.

Listen lightly.

You don't have to strain into the space.

You don't have to push your thoughts aside in order to hear the voice of God or whatever you are seeking.

A silence.

Just listen lightly,

With an open fist.

Your own voice is coming.

If there is gratefulness in your heart,

If you feel that sensation in your chest or your belly,

Ask not to resist.

That's all.

Asking is enough.

When your own knowing comes,

Your job is to trust.

And the effort of that is unlike the other work you're used to.

It's a backwards effort that relieves all strain and force and forwardness.

You evaporate into a knowing.

What you do with the words or the not-words that come becomes clear when you ask,

Or you wait,

Or you find yourself writing it down to share later.

Anyway,

It will happen.

So just sit now in the mud,

In alignment.

Let the things you learned all be shed,

One by one,

As you soften with a nod to whatever is true for you.

Feel how natural you are.

Every element,

Fully possible.
