This is vacation of the mind here with Zen That Beat,

Bringing to you a guided meditation through the forest to the lake.

I'll be your guide,

And I invite you to rest comfortably,

Sitting or lying in a comfortable position,

Closing your eyes,

And beginning to bring all of your attention and awareness to this present moment.

Inhaling through the nose,

Exhaling through the nose,

Beginning to let the day fade away,

Letting go of your thoughts,

Giving your body permission to relax into this moment,

As you bring all of your attention and awareness to your breath,

Inhaling through the nose,

Exhaling through the nose,

Focusing all of your attention and awareness to your inhale and your exhale,

As the air enters your nose,

Glides down your throat,

Into your chest,

Into your lungs as your abdomen expands,

And as you exhale,

You fully release and let go,

Inhaling through the nose,

Exhaling through the nose,

Giving your body permission to relax,

To release any tension it's holding onto,

To be present in this moment,

As you bring all of your attention and awareness to your inhale and your exhale,

On your next inhale,

Imagine you have a blue balloon sitting inside of your abdomen,

Focusing all of your attention and awareness to this blue balloon inside of your abdomen,

As you inhale,

The balloon expands,

And as you exhale,

The balloon contracts,

Fully releasing all of the air,

Focusing all of your attention on this blue balloon inside of your abdomen,

As you inhale,

The balloon expands,

And as you exhale,

The balloon contracts,

Fully releasing all of the air,

Creating a rhythm and a flow with your breath and the balloon,

Bringing this internally for a few moments,

That's great,

On your next exhale,

Releasing the balloon and bringing your attention and awareness back to your breath,

Inhaling through the nose,

Exhaling through the nose,

Feeling your body more relaxed and at peace,

On your next inhale,

You see a ball of golden white light sitting in front of your abdomen,

It's warm like the ray of sunshine on a bright sunny day,

Focusing your attention on this golden white light,

On your next inhale,

You bring this golden white light in to fill the space of your abdomen and your lower back,

And as you exhale,

You allow the muscles of your abdomen and your lower back to relax,

Giving them permission to release the tension they've been holding onto,

Permission to let go,

On your next inhale,

You bring this golden white light down the tops of your thighs,

Your hamstring,

Into your knees,

Your calves and your feet,

And as you exhale,

You allow the muscles of your thighs and hamstrings,

Your calves and your feet to relax,

Giving them permission to release the tension they've been holding onto,

Permission to let go,

On your next inhale,

You bring this golden white light in to fill the space of your chest and your upper back,

The space between your shoulder blades,

And as you exhale,

You allow the muscles of your chest and your upper back to relax,

Giving them permission to release the tension they've been holding onto,

Permission to let go,

On your next inhale,

You bring this golden white light down the tops of your arms,

Into your elbows,

Your forearms and your hands,

And as you exhale,

You allow the muscles of your arms and forearms and hands to relax,

Giving them permission to release the tension they've been holding onto,

Permission to let go,

On your next inhale,

You bring this golden white light in to fill the space of your throat and your neck,

And as you exhale,

You allow the muscles of your throat and your neck to relax,

Giving them permission to release the tension they've been holding onto,

Permission to let go,

On your next inhale,

You bring this golden white light in to fill the space of your cheeks,

Of your chin,

Of your ears,

Of your forehead and your head,

And as you exhale,

You soften the gaze behind your closed eyes,

Relaxing your eyebrows and your forehead,

Relaxing your scalp,

Relaxing your ears,

Resting your tongue behind your bottom teeth,

Unclenching your jaw,

For we hold so much tension here,

Resting a soft smile on your lips,

Feeling at ease,

On your next inhale,

You see this golden white light flowing freely throughout your body,

And should any tension continue to exist anywhere throughout your body,

Now is the time to relieve and let it go,

Giving your muscles permission to fully relax,

That's great,

On your next exhale,

Releasing the golden white light,

Bringing your attention and awareness back to your breath,

Inhaling through the nose,

Exhaling through the nose,

Should any thoughts continue to linger in your mind,

Now is the time to allow them to enter into your mind's eye,

The space between your eyebrows,

Maybe you see them in the form of a word or an image,

Bringing your awareness and attention to your thoughts,

Seeing yourself as the observer of your thoughts,

Not judging them,

Not wondering why they're there,

Not emotionally attaching to your thoughts,

Just allowing them to be what they are,

Just thoughts,

They are neither good nor bad,

They just are,

And you as the witness to your thoughts,

Or just being present with them in the moment,

Watching them float by one by one,

And now begin to bring your thoughts into a little pile there in your mind's eye,

Stacking them one on top of the other,

Seeing yourself looking down at your pile of thoughts,

No judgment,

No emotional attachments,

Just observing your pile of thoughts,

And now see yourself holding onto the handle of a broom,

As you begin to sweep your thoughts from the right to the left,

Right to left,

Right to left,

One by one,

As your pile of thoughts slowly begins to fade away,

And when your last thought is swept away,

You bring all of your attention and awareness to the darkness behind your closed eyelids,

Focusing all of your attention and awareness to the darkness behind your closed eyelids,

Should a thought enter your mind you can thank it for being there,

And then just let it go,

Focusing all of your awareness to the darkness behind your closed eyelids,

There's a stillness here that exists deep down inside,

A stillness that is yours,

That you can tap into anytime you want,

I invite you to connect with the stillness now for a few moments,

That's beautiful,

It feels so good to connect within,

And now see yourself standing in the middle of a beautiful forest,

The dark brown round tree trunks surround you with deep roots that are planted firmly into the ground,

The dark green leaves on the trees sway in the wind towering tall above you,

Providing a shade from that bright blue sunny sky above,

The sun beams down on your skin through the trees warming you,

Kissing you with its warmth as the gentle breeze glides through your hair and over your skin,

It's so calm and beautiful in this forest,

As you stand there on the soil you feel grounded,

Connected to the earth,

Supported right where you are,

The birds chirping in the trees above singing a tune for their happy to be in the forest as well,

You begin to take a leisurely stroll through the forest admiring the harmony of nature,

Admiring the beauty that surrounds you for it is a reflection of the beauty inside,

As you move forward on your path through the forest one foot in front of the other,

With each step that you take you feel more connected and grounded to the earth,

Allowing your feet to kiss the earth with each step that you take,

The leaves of the trees rustle with the wind as it grazes your skin,

A little squirrel crosses your path and stops for a moment as if to say hi,

For you are in tune with nature here in the forest,

And as you continue your leisurely stroll you notice a patch of beautiful red flowers just above on your right,

You take a moment to stop at the flowers to admire their beauty,

Their brilliant color and the sweet aroma that fills your nose,

You see we always have time to stop and enjoy the little things in life that brings a smile to our face,

Basking in this moment,

Appreciating your journey here through the forest,

And just in the near distance up ahead you notice that there is an opening to this forest,

You begin to walk toward the opening,

Singing a tune with the birds,

Happy to be here,

Happy to take a moment in nature allowing it to heal you,

Allowing it to rejuvenate you,

Allowing yourself to connect within and with the flow of life,

And as you stand at the opening of the forest you look out onto a beautiful green grassy meadow,

The bright green grass is beautiful and provides a contrast to the bright blue sky above,

In the middle of this grassy meadow is a brilliant crystal clear bright blue lake that is peaceful and calm,

You step out onto the grass and it feels like its carpet under your feet,

Lush and soft,

Yet the ground is firm and stable,

Supporting you right where you are,

As you walk to the water's edge,

Enjoying the sun as it beams down on your skin,

Providing you with warmth and vitamin D,

You look out over that beautiful clear blue lake,

The sun is beaming down on the top of the lake,

Its reflection looks like little diamonds sparkling on the top of the lake,

And as you make your way over to the water's edge,

You peer over and look at your reflection,

Giving yourself a smile,

For you deserve a smile,

As you inhale that fresh air and exhale not a care or worry in the world,

You notice just to your left a beautiful light brown tree,

Large trunk with roots that flow into the water's edge,

Deeply rooted into the ground,

And on the branch of that tree there's one single bright green leaf,

Bringing your attention and awareness to this leaf,

You pull it under your mind's eye as if you are looking at it under a microscope,

Noticing the chlorophyll that flows through this leaf,

Its veins that take it,

The nourishment in life it needs to survive,

On the edge of this leaf there's a single drop of water,

You pull this drop of water into your mind's eye as if you're looking at it under a microscope,

Hanging there on the edge of the leaf next to the water's edge,

And now you become the drop of water,

There on the edge of the leaf,

And all of your individuality hanging freely on the edge of the leaf,

As this drop of water you now drop into the lake below where you become part of something bigger,

Part of a community of like minds,

Noticing that on the surface of this lake you can feel the sun beaming down,

The ripples from the wind as it carries the water to the water's edge,

But deep down in the depth of the lake it is cool,

It is calm,

It is still,

You see just like this lake we too sometimes feel the ripples on our surface,

Sometimes we feel the rain,

The wind,

The sun,

Or the occasional storm,

But just like this lake deep down the depths of our core,

We too can remain cool and calm and still,

I invite you to connect to that stillness within for a few moments,

Each two of your UV gasesLight back into your sleep.

That beautiful badass thatlaughs inside your bed is no less beautiful than the minute you get to sleep on Valentine's day.

That's beautiful.

You see,

No matter what's going on in our external environment,

Or what we're feeling on our surface,

We can always connect with the stillness at the depths of our core.

And as you inhale through your nose,

And exhale through your nose,

Carrying this peace with you through the rest of your day.

When you are ready,

You can begin to bring your attention and awareness back into your body.

Back into the room that you are sitting or lying in.

When you are ready,

You can wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toe,

Bringing movement back into your body,

Stretching whatever feels good for you.

Breathing through the nose,

Exhaling through the nose,

Resting a soft smile on your lips,

Gratitude in your heart,

Thankful for this moment,

This time you made for you.

When you are ready,

You can open your eyes and fully come back to the room that you're sitting or lying in.

Thank you for taking a vacation of the mind.
