My ego. It doesn't believe in sleep. It told me to hashtag. I said, Even God took one day of rest. My eagle laughed. Ha! Like I told a joke. My ego said. Who needs validation? It told me to stay on my grind every day. When I started to really trust my past. My ego compared. To Oprah or Beyonce. My ego said, Listen, You need more followers. Just post a sexy selfie. You know what they like. IEagle said, You need to be rich and famous. My soul said. First. You must pass the site. My ego said, I will shame you on Sunday. My soul said. I feel deflated and need a resurrection. My eagle said, You are such a failure and a fool. And my soul cried, Lord. I need your direction. My ego said, Focus on your breath, It's tribute. What? You don't have time to unwind today. My soul said, Have faith. Dear Chao. And if you want to worry. Then don't pray. My palms were alive. And my body still. My ego couldn't make a sound. My soul was stirring up infinite wisdom. And I give thanks for the peace that I found. My ego had me restless. And weary. In search of power or a four-leaf clover. My soul looked back. And won. Then I remember. How I really got on.
