Please take a seat on the floor or in a chair and get comfortable,

Allowing your body to breathe naturally and easily.

Whenever we take time to be still,

We create a quiet space for reflection and awareness so that we can bring more attention to everything that we do during the day.

Take a few deep breaths as you begin to turn your attention inward.

Use each out-breath as an opportunity for relaxing.

Being grateful for all of the fresh air that your lungs can take in.

Reflecting now on one thing that went well yesterday.

In the beginning,

This might be challenging,

But with practice over time,

You'll start to feel an abundance of gratitude for everything you have and receive each day.

Reflecting on something that went well yesterday.

Did you finish an important project at work or have a connected or heart-opening conversation with someone?

Did you help someone complete a task in the office or close a deal or speak confidently while giving a presentation?

Make someone laugh?

Bring a smile to someone's face?

Stick to your workout regimen?

Eat a healthy meal?

Send words of encouragement to a friend?

Take care of yourself by going to bed early or sleeping a little longer?

Bring one specific action or example to your mind now.

As you call this experience to mind,

How does it feel in your body to recall this event?

Remember there are no right or wrong ways to feel.

Simply take notice of the sensations in your body.

Bring in a sense of appreciation for your kind act or accomplishment as you replay the moment in your mind's eye and visualize the situation completely.

Let this sense of appreciation flood your body as you appreciate yourself and the beauty of the moment.

Notice how this sense of appreciation feels in your body.

Notice all the different sensations and perhaps a sense of calm that has come over your body.

Remember the memory of this peaceful and calm sensation deep within your being so that it may be strengthened and recalled easier in the future.

And now please repeat the following statements silently to yourself.

Every day I am becoming more and more grateful for all that I have in my life.

I am grateful for family and friends and a place to live and food to eat.

I am grateful for the sun that shines every day and for all the life it creates.

I am thankful that I can learn and grow from experiences I may not even have wanted,

But that allow me to open up to a greater awareness of myself and the world.

I am grateful for love that flows to me and through me.

I see this all as support for the journey that is my life.

Focus on yourself and your sensations again so the feeling of appreciation fills your whole being.

Breathing in peacefully,

Breathing out peacefully.

At peace with yourself and the world.

Now come back to the sensation of sitting on the floor or in a chair and slowly open your eyes and return to the room with a renewed sense of gratitude and appreciation for all that you are and all that you have and all that you will become.

I wasn’t so sure about it and almost turned it off when she started taking about the work place because I’m not corporate like that, but I stuck it out and once she moved on to the heart of the matter it was great.
