Good morning! I'm grateful to share this practice of presence, abundance, and gratitude. In this stillness, we will bring this with us into the rest of our day, not only benefit our lives but the lives of those around us. Namaste.

Good morning.

Good morning.

Thank you so much for being here today.

Thank you for trusting me to be the first,

Maybe first,

Maybe not,

Thing that you hear and wake up to today.

I'm super grateful for that.

Super grateful to have that honor to be with you first thing in the morning.

I always like to start a morning practice with just being present,

Just being grounded.

It's a lot easier to really carry that throughout the day when we do it first thing.

So to get started,

I just want you to take a seat wherever you are.

Maybe you're still in bed.

Maybe you're up.

Maybe you've had your morning cup of tea or your coffee,

Whatever you need to get the day going.

Wherever you are,

I think it's best to take a seat.

You can do this chair on the edge of your bed,

Feet flat on the floor,

Hands on your lap,

Palms up.

Also feel free to be seated completely,

Legs crossed.

We're going to take a moment to ground ourselves.

We're going to take a deep breath in and when you take that breath in,

I want you to bring it all the way up to your face and let's,

On that exhale we're going to use that exhale,

Feel the ripple of that exhale all along your face.

It's smooth as all,

Smooths all the lines,

Any tension that's there.

Let's smooth out all the lines in the face.

We're going to do that one more time and this time we're going to let that ripple of air flow through the rest of the body as well,

Smoothing any lines,

Any tension that it finds along the way.

Take a moment to slowly,

Slowly feel each of those air molecules just ripple through.

Feel it tingling as it slowly makes its way through the body one more time from head to toe.

Now the body should feel nice and relaxed.

This is exactly how we want to feel when we first wake up in the mornings.

Now we're going to do that same thing,

But this time we're going to move that breath a little slower through the body and I want you to find any source of maybe tension,

An ache,

A knot,

Which would be quite normal considering we've just woken up.

Deep breath in and a nice slow exhale.

Where in the body is that air maybe being a little trapped?

Maybe there's a bit of a blockage.

Can't move any further.

I want you to stay with it.

Sit with it for a second.

Curiously explore it.

What does it feel like?

We're not going to label the feeling and just just think about what does it feel like in the body?

Is it an ache?

Is it a knot?

Is it throbbing?

Is it just a little wall?

Is it sharp,

Smooth?

Just exploring curiously.

No labels this morning.

We're just allowing for whatever is there to simply be.

Now we're going to take another deep breath in and we're going to send air all the way to that area again.

Send that breath in.

Gently exploring it.

It's okay to spend a little bit of time here.

We are in no rush.

Easing pain does not happen in a second,

Does not happen in one breath.

We always explore it slowly and curiously and with love.

Now in the next breath we're going to focus on relieving some of that as best as we can.

We're going to take a deep breath in.

We're going to breathe in from the heart and exhale,

Sending all of that love to that area.

Was it able to get through?

If not,

That is okay.

We're going to try again,

Breathing in from the heart space and exhale.

Send that air to your little knot.

Send it some love.

Love has the capacity to resolve so many of our tensions inside the body,

Outside the body,

With each other,

Within our world.

And when we use the breath the way we just did to create space in the body,

That's what we do.

We're using the breath to create space so that we can move our pain through the body and create space for beautiful things like love.

I always think it's very important that once we do that,

We have love for ourselves.

Now we need to make sure we send it out to everybody else as well.

So what I want you to do is in your mind's eye,

I want you to see somebody who brings you joy and peace and love.

It could be a person,

It could be your pet dog,

Maybe it's your morning tea,

Anything at all that puts a smile on your face.

And we're going to send it love.

Be breath in and exhale,

Sending love to that person and gratitude.

Thank you for making us smile one more time.

And exhale.

And last time,

Breath in.

And exhale,

Sending love and gratitude because they always go hand in hand.

Now I want you to think of someone who maybe has caused you a little bit hurt,

A little bit of self-doubt.

Maybe someone who you wish your relationship with was a bit stronger.

Maybe someone who said a few words didn't really realize what they were saying,

But it maybe had a bit of an impact on you and maybe left a little bit of debris.

We're going to do the same thing.

We're going to take a deep breath in because we've created all the space for love.

And I want you to send love and gratitude on that exhale to that person.

We send love and we say thank you for the opportunity to learn more about myself,

For the opportunity to grow,

For the opportunity to heal.

A lot of times what we feel from other people is really just something that we have not been able to heal for ourselves.

Everyone's really doing the best that they can.

Everyone is going to be who they need to be for themselves.

Just like us.

And when we can meet that with love and gratitude,

We can grow and create space in the body for what truly matters.

We're going to take one breath in again and we're going to exhale sending that love and gratitude to that one person who probably really really needs it just as much as you do.

And last but not least,

After we've created space for ourselves,

Given love to ourselves,

Given love to others the way we've also done it to ourselves,

We are now going to take the space here to send some love to our universe.

The most profound and beautiful relationship that we can have as a human is with our universe.

We're going to breathe in love and exhale,

Sending all of that love and gratitude to our planet.

All the work she does for us allows us to stand here,

Stand nice and tall and proud.

You breathe her in,

And then all of our byproducts of what we breathe in from Earth,

She then uses,

So we can coexist peacefully.

Deep breath in,

And exhale,

Sending love and gratitude for all that she does for us.

The reason that we can stay grounded on this planet is because of her and her properties,

Gravity,

The land,

The water,

All these elements that she gives us.

One more time,

Deep breath in,

And exhale,

Love and gratitude to our planet.

The strongest relationship that humans can have is with ourselves,

With each other,

And with our planet.

Just give all of this love and glory and gratitude.

Stay with it.

Stay with it and carry it with you throughout the rest of the day.

Let it exude out of you.

Let it carry you through your interactions with yourself,

With each other,

With our world,

And let it empower you to make a difference today in your day,

In your life,

And in someone else's.

When you're ready,

You can open your eyes,

Slowly come back,

And once again,

I thank you for trusting me to start your day off today.

And once again,

Please spend the day,

Carry all of this love and gratitude with you throughout the rest of your day.

Thank you.
