Today,
We're going to take the opportunity to connect with our inner child to give her a little bit of attention,
A little bit of love.
A lot of what we carry with us,
A lot of that trauma,
A lot of that just comes from a part of the inner child that is really just asking for a bit of attention,
Maybe needs something from you.
Maybe it was denied back in the day.
So tonight,
Or this morning,
Or whatever time of day it is for you,
We're going to take the time to reconnect with this inner child and make sure that in the moment when she comes up and starts asking for a bit of attention,
We're able to do so.
We're going to start off getting comfortable.
I'm currently in a chair,
Feet are flat on the ground,
I've got hands on my thighs,
Palms facing upwards.
Feel free to take a seat and to have your legs crossed.
That's completely fine too.
If you would prefer to be lying down that also works.
Now I want you to take a deep breath in and gently let it out.
Just finding that gentle rhythm of the breath.
Getting home into the body.
If you're here with me right now,
It's most likely because you've recently experienced something that maybe made you realize,
Oh,
These are some past things that are still hurting me.
And maybe this is an opportunity to become more aware of them and to heal.
So if that's the case,
On this next breath,
I want you to breathe in.
And I want you to now explore the body and I want you to find that inner child.
What was it that brought you here?
Was there a pain somewhere,
A knot,
An ache?
I want you to find that.
I want you to curiously slowly explore using your breath.
Just explore the body and see if you can find that little ache.
A lot of times the tiniest,
Most subtle little pains that can really hurt us and create so much hurt,
So much emotion.
The good news is that it just takes a little bit of awareness and a little bit of love.
And when we do that consistently,
We can make a change for ourselves.
When you find that little ache,
I need to spend some time there and breathe in and breathe out and send that air all the way to that little ache.
Send it some love.
Give it some attention.
Deep breath in and deep breath out again.
Nice and easy.
Breathing in love.
Breathing in peace and joy right to that little ache.
And let's breathe out again.
This is your inner child.
What do you think she's trying to tell you?
It doesn't need to be specific.
All we need to know is that it hurts a little bit.
Hello my inner child.
I am here for you.
Maybe I couldn't be when you needed me.
But I didn't know how to be.
Together we are here.
I'm able to give you exactly what you need.
I've carved out a little piece of my heart for you.
You will stay nestled in there.
Anytime that you feel a little bit hurt,
A little bit alone,
A little bit abandoned,
There's always a place for you here in my heart.
Let's take another deep breath in.
And deep breath out.
I want you to stay here for a moment.
We're going to be here for about five breaths.
I want you to bring that inner child into that heart,
Into that little space in your heart where she can now live peacefully.
So anytime she needs you,
You are right there with her.
And let's focus here on your breath.
And as you very,
Very slowly thank the inner child for the opportunity to hear,
To listen,
To observe,
To grow and most importantly,
To heal.
Give her thanks as she cozies into your heart.
You can slowly open your eyes whenever you're ready.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
Most importantly,
Thank you for taking the opportunity to get to know yourself to heal.
When we heal ourselves,
We can love,
We can live in our highest power.
We can connect with ourselves,
With each other,
And we can make a difference in our world.
Thank you.
