In this end-of-day practice, we will enter a state relaxation and use the breath to remind the body of a sense of safety that we can recall and offer when in a more overwhelming state. We will end with a note of gratitude for the body and all of its hard work in getting us through the day, so we can carry this peaceful state into our evenings and sleep.

Welcome friend to this end of day practice Where we can come together come back to the body Reclaim what is ours?

And Reestablish our connection to self to the body And of course to our beloved universe If you feel like you've just gone through the motions of today If you feel Honored to be here today If you feel If you feel honored to be At the end of the day This practice is for you Wherever you are everything is welcome I'll take a moment to settle in Welcome I'll take a moment to settle in Tune into the body eyes can remain open And pay attention to the effects of the busyness on your body Is your heart rate beating really quickly?

Maybe there's some tension in the arms Or the legs Maybe our heels are a bit sore Tune into that And very slowly We'll come into a relaxing position if it's the end of the day maybe you're already laying down in bed On your back Arms flat down by your side Legs straight Maybe you're seated at the edge of your bed Feet flat on the floor Hands in your lap Or on your thighs,

Palms facing upward Or maybe you're on a cushion or on the floor Seated Legs crossed in the lotus position Palms upwards again As we allow the body to relax We'll take a look around the room Orient ourselves Bring further peace to the body Now that it's safe in this environment Offering a sense of peace and comfort And when you're ready,

We'll gently close our eyes Tune into this inner world Of feeling sensations And ways of offering relief and gratitude To the body for all of its hard work today We'll start with a breath,

As we always do Tune into the breathing Allow for it to move in its natural rhythm Again,

This is an end of day practice No need to force anything Simply allowing for everything to be In the beginning of our practice We noted what was happening in the body We'll take the opportunity to go back to those places in the body Where we felt the remnants of the day's busyness left behind We'll go back there to offer some love and gratitude As we focus on the breathing We'll also start to pay attention To some of the stress in the face Soften the lines around your eyes Loosen the jaw Allow for all the muscles in your face To just ease into their natural lines,

Their natural creases Release any tension in the neck and shoulders Feel your arms melt into your sides Let your hands and your fingers just relax Unclench your leg muscles and your kneecaps Allow your shins to rest and your heels and the pads of your feet Just to caress the floor,

The ground,

The earth,

The space that is yours We'll become a little bit more intentional now with the breath Now that the body is relaxed,

We've created space for the breath to flow We'll take a deep breath in And exhale,

Feeling it travel through the relaxed body Welcoming the body home Cleansing the body with new energy and new light in this safe environment Let's take another deep breath in And we'll hold it at the top,

Making sure the shoulders stay relaxed And we'll exhale Allowing the breath to dance through the body The body that is now free from all of the to-do's All of the needs,

All of the demands The body is free to just be One more time,

We'll take a breath in Hold it at the top And we will exhale Welcoming the body back to its relaxed state What does this safety feel like in the body?

Is it a warmth?

Maybe it's a smile Is it the comfort of a blanket?

Is it the smell of bread baking in the oven?

Or maybe the sound of the birds or the owl just outside your window?

Let's get this experience of safety for the next few breaths in silence If any thoughts come up,

Allow for them,

Even greet them if you wish But let them know that this is time for the body to reconnect,

To rejuvenate,

To find safety And that you will be back for these thoughts another time With every breath,

Breathe in that safety Exhale,

Allow for it to travel through the body Making sure not to lose sight of the relaxed state of the body Exhale,

Allow for it to travel through the body Exhale,

Allow for it to travel through the body This sense of safety is what we want to bring back to the body When we go about the day,

When things get a little overwhelming We want to remind the body to come back to this relaxed state Where everything just flows through,

This sense of safety comes from a place of love And this love allows us to cultivate gratitude Placing a hand on our heart We thank the body for all it's done for us today And we offer safety now That we will also offer when the day begins anew When you're ready,

Allow the eyes to soften,

Slowly open We'll take in our surroundings,

Our physical space And reminisce in this softness Thank you very much for joining me in this end of day practice Namaste
