Greetings,
Friend.
Thank you for joining me in this practice,
Inviting us to connect with our inner wisdom in as little as a few minutes.
We'll do this through a very short meditation by extending invitations in the form of a question.
This allows us simply to sit back and allow.
We'll begin by finding our comfortable meditation posture,
Any place where we feel centered,
Preferably seated on a mat or a meditation cushion or the bed even,
Somewhere where we can sit cross-legged or in lotus position,
Relaxing the shoulders,
Keeping the arms down by the sides,
And allowing the hands to rest in the lap or at the knees,
Those palms facing up towards the skies.
As we ease into this position,
We'll tune into the breath,
Noticing,
Witnessing,
Allowing the breath to move in whatever way it needs to move.
We can invite the inhales to deepen and invite the exhales to soften and relax the body,
Inviting the eyelids to close if we haven't already,
And finding a nice,
Steady rhythm of the breath,
With each inhale connecting even deeper,
And with each exhale relaxing the body even deeper.
Tuning into this quiet space within,
Allowing the breathing to fill us,
To nurture us,
To almost be overtaken by it,
To really become one with the breath,
To really feel it in every cell,
In every muscle fiber,
In every being,
Feeling ourselves etched within the very fabrics of the universe.
We'll become more intentional with the breathing on that inhale,
Asking what is present,
And exhaling softly,
Just noticing,
Just allowing,
Just observing,
Inhaling what is present.
And this time,
Inhaling what is present,
And this time on that exhale,
What is released.
What is released.
Just noticing,
Just allowing.
No judgments.
Just allowing that inhale,
And following that exhale,
What is released.
And on this next inhale,
We'll ask what is sacred.
And exhale,
Watching and observing.
Breathing in what is sacred.
One more time,
Breathing in what is sacred.
And this time,
Inhaling what is sacred,
And exhale,
What serves me.
Inhaling and exhaling what serves me,
And allowing our wisdom to reveal all that needs to be revealed.
We'll close this practice by bringing the hands together in prayer position if comfortable for you,
Or allowing both hands to rest on the heart space.
And even allowing that top hand to drop down to the belly,
And just pausing in gratitude for our inner wisdom,
Our guiding point,
You,
Inviting anything else in we might be grateful for,
Bringing our awareness to the toes and fingertips,
Giving them a wiggle if that's available to you,
And inviting the eyelids to open when we're ready.
Thank you for joining me on this short practice.
This is a simple practice we can return to at any point throughout our day.
We might even notice it very intuitively arising.
At any moment we might hear ourselves ask what is present,
What is released,
What is sacred,
And what serves me.
May you find alignment in your day ahead.
Namaste.
