Welcome.
This meditation is about self-compassion and self-compassion is what is going to allow for you to trust in yourself because self-compassion lets you see and understand who you are.
And you can now see yourself for who you really are,
Your natural expression,
You also know the reality that you are creating for yourself.
But how often are you really in touch with that part of you?
How much are you believing that truly you are unique and you have a way of being that has nothing to do with the things you do when you perform in life?
Who are you when you are not trying to accomplish or filling one of your roles?
All you really are is love,
Love itself.
You are the action of love that comes directly from your source,
Your universe,
God or your most evolved self.
So anything that gets in the way of love is an illusion.
Even though it doesn't feel like it,
It is a creation of the mind and the ways the mind has learned to survive,
To keep you safe and to avoid pain.
And this is where we are going to spend our quiet time today.
Find a position where you can relax the body and close the eyes.
Make sure you are not going to be disturbed.
And start to notice the breath.
Go to that place in you where your compassion towards others emanates from.
Whenever you feel someone is suffering and you want to help them,
Where does that come from?
Send your breath to this area and acknowledge this area,
This part of you.
You may say your name followed by you care,
You care.
Allow your body to start melting down as you deepen the breath and feel each exhale bringing you deeper and deeper.
Feel your eyes getting heavier and the muscles of your face letting go.
I'm going to count from 5 to 1 and with each number down you'll feel your body more and more relaxed until you are not going to need to move until the end of this relaxation.
5,
4,
Deeper and deeper,
3,
2,
Relaxed and peaceful,
1.
You are so relaxed that you feel you're floating.
You're floating in a bubble of light.
This light comes from the love that you are and the love that you invite into your body and into your experience each time you set the intention to care,
To care about others and most important to care about you.
Feel this bubble of light protecting you and surrounding you.
Now bring to mind a time when you have not been proud of yourself.
Maybe something that you may still feel as discomfort,
Not a traumatic event,
Something just uncomfortable for you.
I'll give you a moment and allow for any feelings to arise without shutting them off.
Just recognize and acknowledge the feeling.
It may be disappointment,
Shame,
Rejection,
Inadequacy,
Anything that comes up,
Just let it be.
And now become aware of the bubble of light that you are in and remember the source of this light.
So you have these feelings that generate from a discomfort that you have but you also have this light.
This feeling gets in the way of who you really are and what your memories are telling you that you are.
You can clearly see how these uncomfortable feelings about yourself are something created by the mind and the interpretation of the mind from past events.
So let the light of love,
The light of compassion wash over this feeling until you see it and feel it disappear.
And you know you chose to listen to that feeling for some time and you now know you can choose to let your own light,
Your self-compassion embrace it with love,
Knowing that this feeling is not who you are,
Knowing that you are the love,
The space and the light that exists when you want to help,
When you want to help others and when you want to help yourself.
You understand that you can get out of your own way when you are creating the reality that you want to live.
When you come to this place of relaxation where it's easy to feel that love,
That essence and that light that is you,
You can begin to come back into the space you're in and I will count from 1 to 3 and when I say 3 you can open the eyes and move the body or you may stay seated or laying down rejoicing in the light of love that you are.
