Welcome to From Longing to Belonging.

Find a comfortable place to sit down or lay down and rest.

Notice the support of your body and where your body and the surface.

Notice how you are being held and your only job is to just sink into this holding.

Bring your awareness to your breath,

Allowing it to be natural,

Easy,

And place your hands somewhere on your body,

Feeling that connection and warmness gently back to your breath,

Allowing it to move a little bit more deeply and slowly than normal.

And imagine it coming in and out the center of your chest.

As you inhale,

Feeling the warmth,

Light of your heart space.

And as you exhale,

Allowing the light to flow through your body.

Continue to breathe this way,

Bringing a small half smile to your face.

Now bring to mind someone or something that is just so easy to love.

It can be a human or an animal,

A place in nature.

Just bring it to mind as you breathe in and out of your heart space with that gentle smile.

Just feel that loving connection grow in your body.

Now gently let that go.

Bring to mind the feeling of longing.

Maybe it's longing for a person,

A place,

For something to be different than it is.

Longing to be seen or noticed.

Just allow whatever it is to come up.

And as it comes up,

Noticing the sensation,

The area of the body where you feel this.

Just bringing your attention there,

Noticing.

Is there a color,

Texture?

Maybe touching in with your breath or gently moving your hand to that area.

And just spending a little bit of time feeling that and just naming it.

Does it feel big,

Empty,

Open,

Closed?

Does it feel fearful?

Whatever comes up,

Just name it.

And as best you can,

Welcome it to be here.

Taking one more breath into this longing and then letting it go just for now.

Moving back into your heart space,

Breathing in and out of your heart,

The center of your chest.

And again bringing to mind that warmth,

Love,

Person or situation where the love flows with such ease.

Bringing the smile back to your face,

Breathing into that love,

Allowing it to spread through your whole body.

Even out the bottom of your feet,

The top of your head,

Cocooning you in love.

With this love in your heart and all around you,

Turning back towards that longing.

Just inviting it a little bit closer,

Bringing the memory or the feeling,

Person,

Bringing it to mind,

Bringing it to heart,

Getting a felt sense of it.

What does this longing look like?

If it was to have a shape,

What would the shape be?

Is it hungry?

Does it move quickly or slowly?

Is it sticky or does it hide?

Just allowing yourself to witness the longing,

Letting it be as big or as small as it would like to be.

Letting it be as intense or as gentle as it needs to be.

If you need to,

You can take a step back,

Have a little bit of space and get a better view.

If you need to move back just into the heart breath,

Any time you may do so.

And when you're ready,

Bringing a little bit of that warmth,

A little bit of that light and love to the longing.

Just letting that longing know I see you.

Name the attributes that you see in this longing.

And even if a part of you feels repelled,

Wants to get away from this longing,

Just naming that too.

That's okay.

That can be here too.

And just gently,

Gently just allowing whatever is there to be there.

And just inviting it all,

And then letting it go.

Turning back to your heart,

Your breath,

In and out through the center of your chest.

Bringing to mind half smile and the person,

Place where the love just flow.

Taking your time to allow you to deeply connect with that love.

And when you're ready,

Once again,

Just inviting that longing in with a smile in your heart and a smile on your face.

Just allowing it to be exactly as it is.

A little nest in your heart and just whispering to this longing,

I see you,

I love you,

Won't you hear with me.

Allowing it to rest in this nest in your heart.

See the connection with you,

Welcoming from you,

The belonging with you.

And just breathing with gentleness into that nest,

Into your heart space.

Bringing that loving memory,

The warmth that you've cultivated,

Allowing it to be that longing and feeling it to be seen,

Knowing it to express.

Or maybe you would just asking that longing what it needs.

Maybe a blanket or a hug or just some company and just taking the time that you need to be there with this part.

Feeling the connection with this part,

Feel the connection with you.

Now allow yourself to feel your connection with something even greater.

Maybe it's the earth,

An ancestor,

A higher power,

A special animal or deity.

Just calling that love and support in for you.

Someone is holding you as you hold this longing.

Each one of you deeply love knowing that you belong.

Spend as much time in this place as you'd like to,

Soaking it into every cell of your body,

Allowing it to bathe your cells in light and remembering.

And when you're ready,

Taking all the time you need,

Gently give yourself a squeeze and come back into the room,

Into your space,

Thanking yourself for this practice.

I am encouraged by this notion of making friends with longing. I have tried to fill it and I have tried to eradicate it, neither of which worked. Thank you.

Absolutely wonderful and heartwarming to find back our sense of belonging that we all hold dearly in our hearts, although we sometimes forget to offer that love to ourselves.

I don't have words for how powerful this was and is for me. Thank you for creating the space and guidance for being with , holding and loving the longing, while being held by the Mother. Your voice, the cadence and the binaural sounds were perfect. I am very grateful๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’žโœจ ๐Ÿ’ซ

People talk about self compassion, but until this meditation, I have never had anyone guide me in ways to actually BE compassionate to myself and my parts in the waySimona has just done. This is a golden meditation. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐ŸŒผ
