Hello,

Thank you for joining me today for meditation.

This particular track was inspired by the teachings of The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer.

I was doing a book study with a beautiful group of ladies and was inspired to write this meditation.

Now I want to share it with you.

So I want you to just take a few moments and let yourself get just a little bit more comfortable.

Beginning to release all thoughts of the outside world and allow yourself to come into what is real here and now.

In scenes how this is a meditation about open heartedness,

I just invite you to first start breathing deeply into the chest and the belly.

Just allowing that space behind the heart to open.

And then I wish for you to just sink a little bit more into the seat of meditation,

Whatever that means to you.

So just releasing any tension from the body.

And becoming more in tune with your beautiful breath.

For me this often means slowing down the breath.

So you could try inhaling to a count of four or five or six and exhaling to that same count.

Just breathing here.

And then taking a moment just to let yourself off the hook here and just know that if you should become distracted or if the mind wanders,

That's completely normal.

And at any point during the meditation if you found you've wandered off,

All you're going to do is just gently bring it back to your breath.

Back to the sound of my voice or back to your body.

Just bringing in this subtle awareness.

Settle down now into the seat of your beautiful soul.

Again,

Just releasing distraction of the outside world and allowing yourself to be only here as you are in this present moment.

As you settle down and turn inward,

I invite you to examine the depths of your heart.

Begin by asking yourself questions such as,

What is the heart's true function?

How does the heart assist us in all our worldly ideas,

Relationships,

Moments,

Passions,

Compassions,

Grace?

Do you allow the heart to soothe you?

Love you?

Hold you tenderly?

And in turn,

Do you offer those things back to the heart?

Take a moment here now to compassionately offer back what your heart has always afforded you.

Love and tenderness.

Offer your heart some love now through breath,

Through gentle attention.

Now ask yourself,

Are you allowing yourself to live open-hearted?

Living open-hearted is a complicated endeavor.

We spend so much of our lives following our animal instincts of protecting and shutting down the heart.

That it can feel very scary as we begin to explore this idea of opening it up.

But I can tell you what I know for sure.

That in the end,

You will have wished to experience your life in a more open-hearted way.

Let me try to show you open-heartedness in action.

Freedom to access your true nature of love.

So bring to mind now a situation today that caused you to feel upset.

Something that caused some sort of energy disturbance in the body that had you feeling like you needed to defend yourself.

Or feel very strong emotions.

Just allow it to be the first thing that comes up.

Take a minute here to go back to this moment in time.

Whether it be the car that cut you off in traffic,

The teenager that just wouldn't listen,

Or an argument with a friend.

Just go there and begin to notice how you felt in that moment.

How you behaved in that moment.

What sensations you felt in the body,

In the heart,

In the mind.

And just notice.

Now we're going to soften through this heart space just a little bit more.

Opening up through the chest and shoulders.

Soften through your heart.

And once again sending it love,

Attention,

And breath.

Then revisit that moment in time.

And just notice how things may have been different had you allowed this experience,

This energy disturbance,

To simply pass right through you.

This process is about freedom.

You can be free from anything that is disturbing your energy.

This is open-hearted living.

Allowing that moment to pass through you without any attachments,

Judgments,

Strong emotions.

Just observing the situation.

Letting it pass through you.

Getting behind it.

And releasing.

Releasing all emotions,

Worries,

Anger,

Fear,

Guilt,

Or doubt that came with it.

What would it feel like to just let that all go?

Rather than the clinging and the hanging on.

And allowing these physical sensations to continue to manifest in your physical form.

What if instead they could just pass gracefully into the next moment?

Well they can.

And they will.

You just have to allow it.

It is a brave and conscious choice that you can make.

Any time that we spend clinging to the past,

Or reliving a past moment that caused an energy disturbance like this.

Any time we sit ourselves in the seat of the past.

We are missing everything that is happening in our current present reality.

So now,

In this present moment.

I invite you to release the clinging to all that was just said.

All that we've talked about today.

And simply be with yourself in this present moment.

Release the stories of the body,

And the mind,

And even the heart.

And allow yourself to simply observe that you are aware.

If the mind wanders,

That's okay.

Just bring it back as many times as you need.

If it helps focus on the breath,

Allow the breath to be all that there is.

And then if and when you're ready,

Observe yourself observing the breath.

That is where awareness is.

Being aware that you are aware.

Just breathing here.

Watching the breath.

And then being aware that you are watching the breath.

Breathing here.

Watching the breath.

And then being aware that you are watching the breath.

That's all there is.

Watching each inhale,

Observing each exhale.

Now notice the love that exists in this space.

If you can't notice it,

Just imagine it.

Imagine the biggest love that there is.

And let it hold you.

You have access to this love.

You can bring it into your beingness.

Continuing to breathe.

Feeling the love in this space.

Now notice the bliss.

The peace.

The samadhi.

The unconditional love that the universe has to offer you.

And be here with it.

As long as you can.

Stay with the breath.

With the awareness.

When the mind comes back into play,

Just return to the breath.

I'll call you back when it's time.

Just keep breathing.

Just keep breathing.

Feel the love in this space.

Be the love in this space.

Keep breathing.

Keep breathing.

Allow the love,

The bliss.

The awareness.

Now,

Bringing yourself back to the sound of my voice.

Beginning to bring in little notes of consciousness.

The sound of your heartbeat.

Sensation in your fingers.

Now pause and feel that love from the universe again.

Feel open-heartedness.

And notice how you can notice this.

Even if you're bringing consciousness back in.

Draw the breath deeper.

Feel that love again.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Allow sensation.

Pause and feel that unconditional universal love.

Feel open-heartedness.

Notice again how you can feel it here at this level of consciousness.

Moving the head from side to side.

Awakening the body just a little bit more.

Pause and feel open-heartedness.

Now bring a smile to your lips.

Feel open-heartedness.

Now tap into a deep knowing.

That with practice you can choose this open-heartedness for yourself anytime,

Anywhere,

In any situation.

You just have to choose and practice.

This is your true nature.

This is why you feel so moved to be here on this planet.

Please allow yourself to be moved.

To be loved.

To be held.

To be aware.

To be present.

And when you're ready,

Gently opening up the eyes.

Remembering that deep feeling of universal love and acceptance.

That little fluttering of joy in the heart.

That open-heartedness.

And now when you're ready,

Stepping out into the world with this new awareness into your new reality.
