So just allow your body to rest in a comfortable position.
Could be seated or lying down.
It doesn't have to be complicated or fancy,
So just find yourself arriving.
And you can continue to arrive by taking a couple of conscious breaths.
You don't need to change anything about the breath for them to be conscious just now that you notice them.
Just now that you are aware.
Using your attention on the breath as a way of arriving.
As a way of arriving into your body and also of arriving into this moment.
And with these breaths just allow your body to relax.
Simply letting go of any tension that's here with you that is possible to let go of.
Each moment is an opportunity for us to practice presence,
Awareness,
And mindfulness.
So I'd like you to begin to bring to mind or bring into your awareness what is present for you now.
In this moment,
What do you notice?
And maybe it's a sensation in your body.
Maybe it's a pattern of thoughts that continue to roll through your head.
Maybe it's a certain emotion that's arising.
Maybe it's restlessness or even boredom.
So see if you can land on one quality,
One thing that is present here for you.
And begin to become aware of what your attitude is toward that thing.
That sensation,
Thought,
Emotion.
What is your attitude?
And silently in your mind toward whatever it is that you're finding,
Can you just say a gentle,
A soft yes?
So perhaps it is discomfort in the neck or shoulders or the back.
Perhaps it's a pattern of negative thoughts,
Perhaps emotions of sadness,
Anger,
Fear.
Can you welcome it and accept its presence by saying a silent yes?
As you continue to direct this silent yes toward whatever you're experiencing,
You might notice a little bit of the resistance dissolving.
Letting whatever's here be here and inviting it to just move through you.
As many times as you need to,
Just saying that silent yes.
Welcoming your experience in this moment,
Whatever it holds.
Now picking and choosing the way we want life to unfold,
Being open to it exactly as it is.
Our suffering comes when we resist what's here,
When we wish for things to be different than as they are.
Take a few more breaths again,
Welcoming whatever's here.
Maybe it's shifted or changed with that silent yes.
And as we close this meditation,
Inviting this quality of acceptance into the rest of your day.
