Welcome to this self-forgiveness meditation.
Did you do or say something that you wish you hadn't?
Well we all make mistakes and they are a part of life and all experiences are for learning and growing.
It's time to stop judging yourself so harshly.
Would you judge a dear friend like that?
No.
So it's time to befriend yourself.
Whatever harm you think you did you can forgive yourself and move on.
Let's leave it in the past where it belongs.
Whatever it is it's over.
So quit carrying it around ruining the present or sabotaging your future.
Let's release whatever it is that is causing your suffering.
Close your eyes and take a deep cleansing breath and get grounded in this present moment where all is well.
As you breathe out tell yourself that this is your time just for you.
Relaxing inside and out.
Relax.
And now visualize yourself on a beautiful warm tropical balmy beach.
You see yourself entering the ocean and you have heavy rocks in your pockets.
These rocks are the burdens of your past.
You can now empty your pockets into this ocean.
Drop the rocks to the bottom of the sea and watch them disintegrate.
Feeling lighter you can dive under the waves and every time you come up from under a wave you feel lighter.
You feel brighter.
Each wave washing away the past.
You are leaving it all in the ocean.
You are washing away the shame,
The guilt,
The judgment.
You're washing away the resentments,
The hatred,
The self-loathing.
It's all washed away by this ocean of forgiveness.
Now you see yourself walking along the beach and in the distance another person is walking towards you along the shore.
They get closer and you realize that you are face to face with yourself.
You see into your bright shining eyes this other you like a reflection and you say to them,
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
Again with sincerity and compassion.
And you can even hug yourself heart to heart if you want.
Say I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
Listening to the following affirmations,
Feeling happy,
Healthy and whole.
I release the past and let it go.
It is safe for me to forgive myself.
I learn from all my experiences.
I am always doing the best I can.
I forgive myself and others easily.
I release the need to be perfect.
I am light-hearted as I release the burdens of my past.
I am grateful for every new day,
A fresh start and a chance to begin again with forgiveness in my heart.
Every single experience,
No matter how I label it good,
Bad,
Tragic or toxic,
It all teaches me valuable lessons.
I like the way I learn from all my experiences.
Time now to open your eyes and return to your day knowing you can listen to this as often as you like.
Thank yourself for spending this quality time for your personal growth.
Thank you.
