Commonly used in the authentic relating world, this is a “connect to self” practice. I have found that when I take a few seconds a couple times a day to ask myself “how does it feel to be me right now?” I can slow down time, decrease my stress and become more aware of myself: my wants, needs and motives. What a powerful and simple practice.

With this track,

You can listen with your eyes closed,

Opened,

Or with a soft gaze ahead.

Get comfortable for this simple and quick check-in.

At whatever pace you would like,

Let's arrive and begin by taking three deep,

Expansive breaths.

Glad you made it.

Begin by simply noticing.

What does it feel like to be you right now?

Notice what you're arriving with,

Whether that is a particular emotion,

Energy,

Or physical sensation.

No need to judge it,

Just simply notice.

It is okay to be feeling what you're feeling.

It is okay to be going through what you are going through,

Whether positive,

Negative,

Or somewhere in between.

Just know that this is all a part of your journey.

Inhaling light and exhaling darkness,

Take another deep breath.

Mmm,

That was really good.

Let's do another.

I have found that when I take a few seconds,

A couple times a day,

To ask myself,

How does it feel to be me right now?

I can slow down time.

I can decrease my stress and become more aware of myself,

My wants,

Needs,

And motives.

I invite you to check in with yourself just one more time today.
