Find yourself a position of comfort.

This may be sitting,

Standing or laying.

Whichever position you choose is right for you in this moment.

Let yourself settle into your chosen position of comfort.

And notice how you feel in this moment.

Is your mind busy?

Are there any points of tension in your body?

Whatever you feel,

Just let it be.

Take a long,

Deep breath in through the nose.

Accepting the circumstance right here,

Right now,

As you do so.

Then slowly breathe out through the mouth,

Letting go of any tension.

Feel the tension drift away as you settle even more into your position of comfort.

Spend the next few moments focusing on your breath.

Counting in breath as one and an out breath as two.

All the way up to the count of ten.

All the way to the count of five.

Now take a moment to acknowledge any thoughts that appear in your mind.

Don't try to switch thoughts off.

Simply acknowledge that they are there.

Avoid investing time in your thoughts.

And simply come back to the moment that is now.

Just allow your thoughts to come.

Sometimes they come in flurries.

Sometimes as individual thoughts.

We sometimes feel that our thoughts control us.

But with a mindful attitude,

You can control your thoughts.

Each time you notice a thought,

Give yourself credit and bring yourself back to the moment.

Right here,

Right now.

Now take a moment to appreciate the positives that fill your life.

This may be the simple fact that you are giving yourself this time to enjoy this moment right now.

Or it may be the appreciation that you have access to this space at this time.

A time just for you.

If we look deep enough within our lives,

They are filled with many simple positives.

Try to identify these positives throughout your daily routine.

Now take three slow,

Controlled,

Deep breaths where you will settle and accept this moment.

As you inhale,

Fill your body with a sense of self-compassion.

And as you exhale,

Feel thankful for your mindful attitude.

Remember that we can choose to be compassionate and mindful to others and to ourselves throughout our life.

And finally,

Congratulate yourself for being kind and compassionate towards yourself in this moment.

From me to you,

May your life be filled with positivity.

Slowed me down Opened me up. Unfortunately, I hadn’t realized it was a male voice I didn’t care for the slow laborer quality of the voice

I've been working hard to be more mindful of my thoughts and more positive in my life. This was a wonderful meditation to help me something on my thoughts and appreciate the good in my life. I love the silences in between each message and the focus on the breath. Also, (not that it matters) I liked the speaker's accent. Bookmarked!
