The truth about ourselves is hidden from us,
Obscured by ego.
Sometimes we need to trick ourselves to see our true qualities.
Assume any position that allow your body to relax.
You may lie down on your back or sit in a position that allow your breath to flow freely.
Take a moment to adjust and prepare yourself.
I will wait for you.
The easiest way to get rid of the residual tension is to take a couple of deep conscious breaths.
Breathe in through your nose,
Into your belly and exhale slowly through your mouth as if you try to blow a balloon.
In and out.
In and out.
In and out.
Relax now and allow your breath come back to its natural rhythm.
Notice the air coming in,
Expanding in your body,
Creating more space each time you inhale.
Tune into your breath more and more,
More and more.
In this expanded state,
Open yourself to new possibilities.
Give yourself permission to experience something new.
Open your senses and listen.
Imagine yourself on a sunny day,
Surrounded by nature,
Resting,
Rejuvenating.
Imagine yourself having full freedom to do whatever you want to do and to be whoever you want to be.
If you had a choice,
What animal or creature would you be?
Doesn't matter,
Real or imaginary.
If you have a trouble bringing it to mind,
Look down at your feet.
What kind of feet or hooves or claws do you have?
Now,
Take a look at your animal.
The size,
Shape,
Color.
What is your skin cover?
How do you move?
How do you behave?
What do you eat?
Where do you live?
What kind of sound do you make?
How do you communicate?
You live alone,
With a mate or with a group.
What makes you sad?
What makes you happy?
What makes you feel afraid?
What makes you feel strong and powerful?
What gives you courage?
What makes you active as this animal for a moment,
Use as many senses as possible to do it?
Consider qualities and characteristics of your animal.
What are the ones you are proud of?
Find a few words to describe your nature.
Now,
Bring those qualities you are proud of to your human form.
Imagine yourself enabling those qualities in you.
To help this process,
Put them in I AM form.
Repeat it three times.
For example,
I am strong.
I will wait for you as you do it.
I am strong.
I will wait for you as you do it.
Now,
Think for a moment,
What would your life look like if those qualities were manifested?
Allow yourself to daydream for just a moment and I will wait.
I am strong.
I am strong.
I am strong.
I am strong.
I am strong.
Now,
It's time to come back.
Recognize the environment around you.
The sounds,
Smells.
Feel your hands.
Feel the pressure on your back.
You may add some gentle movement.
Wiggle your toes.
Move your fingers.
Hold your head gently to the left and to the right.
And now,
Together,
Let us take one more deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Open your eyes and welcome back.
Your brain just loves daydreaming.
This technique,
If used correctly,
Is a very effective way to bypass your ego,
The inner chatter.
Your intellect does not oppose us strongly during this exercise and therefore the qualities that you projected onto the animal are very likely to be a true representation of your inner strengths,
However undiscovered.
I suggest you write them down in a form of I am affirmations after finishing this meditation.
Feel free to use them as often as you want as a reminder of your true inner qualities.
Thank you for listening.
I wish you a wonderful day.
