Begin this meditation by recognizing your human condition,
Recognizing that as a human being you suffer,
Physically,
Emotionally,
Psychologically.
And rather than beating yourself about it,
Acknowledge this is part of the human condition.
And as we sit to this meditation,
We come to an understanding that for the next couple of minutes we embrace our human predicament and see the inner critic that inevitably will jump on board as a part of this condition,
That evolved over millions of years,
But it's no longer helpful,
Does no longer improve our living,
But very often gets in the way of our fulfillment,
Our well-being.
Allow your eyes to close and make yourself as comfortable as possible,
Making your life easier by taking one deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth,
Letting go of any unnecessary tension,
Treating yourself as you would treat a good friend,
Wishing health,
Happiness,
Prosperity,
All the things that we do deserve.
Loving kindness is treating yourself as you would treat a good friend,
Offering your smile,
Your support,
And basking in positive feelings and emotions.
And this starts with dropping your shoulders away from your ears,
Relaxing your jaw,
And letting go of any unnecessary weight that's holding you down right now.
And by doing so,
You feel lighter already.
You feel more loved,
You feel more worthy,
And enough.
Cultivating self-compassion,
It's a radical act that even though does not come easy to our tormented mind,
It is a path of evolution from the survival to thriving.
So let us include on this path a simple loving kindness affirmation,
I am loved,
I am worthy,
I am enough,
I am loved,
I am worthy,
I am enough.
Keep these words in your mind,
Slowly and gently,
As if you were speaking to a good friend,
Offering your best wishes.
I am loved,
I am worthy,
I am enough.
Repeat these affirmations as I stand by your side,
Holding this space with friendliness and kindness,
So we all can embrace loving friendliness.
I am loved,
I am worthy,
I am enough.
Recognise how you feel after being friendly to yourself,
See for yourself how it feels to treat yourself with kindness and compassion.
How is it to be your own best friend?
It is time to forgive yourself,
It is time to see that all that you have experienced,
It is a part of this human experience and brought you to this moment,
Here and now.
Bring your awareness to the most human of all aspects,
Which is your physical senses.
Recognise that these are means of perceiving this physical world,
Your vision,
Your hearing,
Your smell,
Your taste and your touch.
Begin recognising how you are connected to the physical world and how your physical body is the vessel that carries the consciousness that you are in a very unique,
Beautiful way.
Coming back to yourself is one of the most important practices that you ever will do.
Being aware of how you feel and being self-compassionate towards all the feelings,
All the emotions that are a part of this human experience.
So right now,
To conclude,
Simply take one deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
And when ready,
Open your eyes and welcome back.
