This short practice allows you to access your deeper wisdom through a guided visualization. It offers an invitation to bring about a difficult situation and use the mind in a way that opens you to the clarity and insight that lies within.

Transcript

So to start,

Just find a comfortable position,

Sitting down,

Lying down,

Wherever you feel the most relaxed and at ease.

And just allow yourself to become aware of your breath.

Become aware of the in-breath and become aware of the out-breath.

And now move your awareness to your body,

Just noticing the general state of your body.

And now we're going to move into a visualization.

This is a visualization that allows you to get in touch with your deepest and wisest self.

So I want you to imagine yourself in a situation,

A current situation that brings about stress,

That makes you feel uneasy,

Might bring up guilt of the past.

Some situation that is unpleasant for you.

And see yourself in the midst of the situation.

What is it that you're feeling?

What is it that you're thinking?

And in this very moment,

There's a knock at the door and you walk over and you open the door and standing there is the wisest and kindest being that you've ever met.

It could be God,

Jesus,

Mother Mary.

This being represents the deepest wisdom,

The most compassion and love that's available in the entire universe.

This being walks in and takes your hand and says,

I understand that you're struggling and I'm here for you.

And in that moment,

This being steps into your body and takes over for you.

You're right back in the same situation,

But now this wise,

Kind,

Loving and compassionate being is you.

And now you can feel what this being does in the same situation.

What is it that you feel now?

What are your thoughts?

How are you relating to this situation now?

And allow yourself to really feel what it's like to live from this place of compassion and love and wisdom.

And in an instant,

This being then steps out of your body and takes your hand in the most gentle and kind way and leans forward and whispers something in your ear,

Something to help you in the future when you're in this situation.

And take note of what this being tells you.

And they take your hand and they say,

I'm going to leave you with this one gift.

And they open your hand and they place in it a special gift and you open it and you see what it is.

And only you know.

This is the gift that allows you to see clearly through uncertain situations.

It's the exact gift that you need to get through this situation that is usually unpleasant.

And the being blesses you and exits through the door.

And now you know a different way of being and relating to the world that you can now bring forward into the future.

Just give yourself a couple of moments to breathe deeply,

To allow yourself to be held in the space of compassion and kindness.

And know that this wisdom is within you and can be your light and your guide.
