Let's take a good posture.
Let's allow our spine to be elongated.
Allow our knees and feet to be grounded.
As we feel the breath,
We honor the primordial power that moves the breath.
Just that awareness that there is this power that creates universes.
It's an intelligence that runs your breath.
You know how complex the process of breathing can be.
It's not only about the air coming in and out,
It's the whole chemistry that happens as the oxygen gets in touch with your lungs and how it gets distributed to your whole body,
Moment by moment.
So you can see meditation as a practice of getting in touch with the greater power,
Coming into alignment with,
Tuning in to the fundamental power of life.
And it's a relationship of aligning with,
Which involves surrendering to.
To become attuned to something,
You need to put yourself aside and listen to this deeper tune within your own being.
And that tune is the breath.
As the mind becomes aware of the breath,
There's a natural process of tuning in.
Feel its rhythms,
Its ups and downs.
Feel where do you feel the breath today.
Without giving it much of a thought,
As you feel the breath,
Your awareness will go to a certain area in your body.
And as you go there,
Soften that area.
But there's no controlling,
There is just allowing.
You might notice the subtle shifts on the breath and on the breath sensation as you pay attention to it.
The rhythm might change.
The intensity might change.
And how it feels inside also might change.
You might also notice that your heartbeat changes too.
It might fluctuate.
As awareness and breath gets connected,
The whole body enters into self-regulation mode.
You might start feeling more soft in different parts of the body,
Releasing tension from your jaw,
From your tongue,
From the hands.
But even more importantly,
An inner softening.
Like an inner releasing,
Releasing pressure from the chest or from the stomach or from the throat.
As you simply tune to the breath,
You also make the effort to release all doership.
You are not doing the breathing.
The breathing is just happening through you.
In fact,
Most of your body's actions,
Even thinking,
Happen spontaneously.
Divinely orchestrated by this power of life.
Notice any shift in the inner sensation of the breath and the inner body.
And the more attuned you are to what's going on within,
The more the mind quietens.
And little by little,
You start sensing into this inner transformation that happens inside.
As you simply become aware of your life,
Of your body,
Of your mind,
As you simply become aware of your life force moving within.
If you are really paying attention,
You will notice that sensations will arise that will guide you deeper into releasing.
You might notice subtle tensions here and there.
And as you pay close attention,
There is a subtle transformation that is happening.
Of movement towards stillness.
It is a dynamic stillness.
It's an alive,
Pulsing,
Self-aware stillness.
And you surrender to that stillness.
You make a gentle effort to let go of thoughts,
Feelings,
So that you can release more fully into this.
Inner stillness.
It is actually learning to rest in what you are.
Even resting from thought.
Your awareness might feel drawn to a specific point in your inner body.
Where it identifies the center of stillness.
Go there and feel savoring the inner sweetness of your own self.
Of your own self.
Noticing the subtle changes that happen as you move towards this inner stillness.
Like a gentle flame that burns quietly inside.
A gentle flame of awareness.
