In this meditation, we remember the simplicity of the practice. To meditate we just need to notice what is arising in the present moment, and learn to be with it. The less we do, the better. Meditation is more about being than doing.

Consciously grounded,

Meaning that you are aware of how the weight is dropping on them.

You are aware of your sacrum gently tilting forward so you have a nice lower back arch and you can feel the spine moving upright effortlessly.

There's a real power within us,

This capacity to just be with what's happening in a loving way and it requires a simple effort,

The effort of noticing.

So as you close your eyes,

Make the intention to be simply present,

To hold space for what's arising within you this morning,

To hold space.

When a friend of yours is going through something and you're sitting by their side holding space,

You are just there,

You are just listening and that often is what most people need is that attention.

So meditation is practicing that with yourself,

Is holding space for yourself and what that means is that very often your mind will wonder,

Can you be patient with what is arising?

Can you be patient to go back and just notice?

Can you be that gentle?

And when you're very gentle,

What happens is that your mind can calm down in that gentleness.

When you notice the flow of the breath,

Once you notice the flow of the breath,

Let it be gentle.

Notice that the act of self-awareness,

Of just turning your awareness within is an act of gentleness,

Of tapping inside and paying attention.

Tapping inside and paying attention.

Notice right away as you turn your gaze within,

You become aware of whatever needs attention,

It just stands out as either your mental agitation or your emotional agitation or your physical sensations.

A great question that you could ask yourself right away as you close your eyes is,

What within me wants to release?

What within my body,

Within my being,

Wants to release,

To let go?

What part of me and where do I feel this?

If you ask that question,

Right away your attention will go to that place.

Where you feel some pressure,

Some heaviness,

Maybe some level of pain,

Physical or emotional.

And then the next question is,

Can you be with that fully,

Completely?

And when you're meditating,

You're fully there for yourself.

And you listen to what's arising,

Basically emotionally and mentally.

I recommend to go into the physical,

To the sensations.

Where in your body do you actually feel this tension?

And also practice releasing all forms of resistance,

Like relaxing your jaw,

Relaxing your tongue,

Like relaxing your jaw,

Relaxing your tongue.

Your eyelids are closing softly.

Your eyes are soft.

Your hands,

Shoulders are resting.

Your legs are relaxed and the weight is effortlessly carried down into the earth by the spine.

And you practice surrendering to whatever is arising right here,

Right now.

Notice how the inner landscape subtly shifts,

Turns,

It transforms,

As you pay attention.

Notice how suddenly maybe your heartbeat becomes more predominant or your breath or a movement in your gut.

Maybe the movement is in your mind and you keep being scattered.

That's okay.

You gently come back to the experience,

To your felt sense of the experience.

And you keep asking yourself,

What part of my body is this?

And you keep asking yourself,

What part of my body wants to let go?

What part of my body wants to release?

And go there and feel.

And as you feel,

You allow for the movement of the energies.

You allow for the movement of the energies.

As you feel,

You allow the river of your being to flow more fully,

More harmoniously.

As you exhale,

Know that there's no doing.

There's just allowing the spontaneous movement and noticing the movement as it happens.

And you play between paying close attention to a specific area where the sensation is more predominant and also expanding your awareness to feel the whole body.

It is okay to feel the way you feel.

Is it okay to be who you are today?

It is okay for life to be the way it is.

It is okay.

I make peace with life.

I choose to make peace with life experiences.

I choose to trust its flow and learn from the experience.

You become more tranquil.

You can notice deeper sensations unveiling or rising.

You start becoming aware of subtler forms of tension or contraction that you didn't notice before.

And you hold the intention of releasing,

Softening,

Letting go of control.

Letting go of control.

You feel how your inner landscape becomes more gentle,

More soft,

More peaceful,

More loving.

Bring your awareness back into the breath.

And gradually expand your inhalations.

It's a practice of fully opening to receive life's blessings of life.

Your yoga practice,

Meditation practice is an offering for the well-being of not only yourself but humanity.

As you release and connect with peace,

You're sharing that with the whole of life.
