Hello love,
It's the middle of the night and you're awake.
Let's get you back to sleep.
I'll invite you to begin by adjusting your body.
Letting your feet fall away from each other as you lay on your back.
Open up your hands at your sides.
And you might find that it feels good to even bring a hand on your belly.
Allowing you to feel the breath as it moves up and down from your belly into your hand.
And as you bring your attention to your breathing,
I'll invite you to feel the rise and fall of breath as it moves through your body.
Letting go of any judgments of your breath or any way that you feel like it should be breathing and just noticing the way it is now.
Experiencing the waves of breath.
And I'll invite you to become more aware of your exhales.
Feel how your body falls into itself as the breath is released.
And that there is this natural settling with each exhale.
As though your body can nestle a little bit more deeply into your bed.
Sinking into it more fully.
And as you feel the space between your brows,
As you exhale,
Allow that space to broaden.
As you exhale again,
Broaden your forehead,
Allowing it to smooth towards your temples.
And as you exhale,
Release your jaw,
Allowing your cheeks to settle towards your ears.
Feeling your lips just gently touching.
And as you exhale,
Feel your whole face completely relaxed and at ease.
Continue to notice each exhale as it happens.
This subtle release as you sink even deeper into your bed.
Notice how your muscles begin to relax and release.
Your bones get heavier with each exhale.
And the sense of ease.
I'll invite you to allow the entire front of your body to relax.
And feel how it falls in towards the back of your body.
Allowing the breath to move even more freely through your body.
And perhaps you're able to relax so deeply that you start to experience your breath almost like a wave.
With each inhale being dragged right down to your toes and fingertips.
And with each exhale as it washes out this emptiness and quiet that's left behind.
The inhale's washing over you.
And as you exhale,
Let your breath flow into your body.
The inhale's washing over you.
And the exhale's releasing even more deeply.
And just sensing that internal rock of the wave within your body.
And perhaps being able to lay back into it.
Almost as though you could float on your breath.
Allowing each breath to breathe you.
Allowing each breath to breathe you.
And you might still be noticing thoughts moving through your mind.
And I'll invite you to take on an attitude of okayness.
So whatever is here is just fine.
And that you can turn towards these thoughts almost like a nod.
Saying I see you.
And knowing that you also don't need to grab on to those thoughts.
That you can let them float by just like the clouds in your mind's eye.
And simply turn your attention back to your breath.
Turning your attention back to the waves that gently rock your body.
Feel your body begin to relax even deeper.
Feel the muscles become looser.
Even your skin softening.
Allow the front of your body to sink into the back of your body.
And the back of your body to sink into the bed beneath you.
And as you relax let your body sink so deeply.
That it almost feels as though your bed is rising up to meet you.
Cradling your body.
Gently holding you.
As you allow each breath to guide you deeper and deeper into stillness.
Riding the waves into the quiet.
