Thank you so much for deciding to join me for this short meditation.
This is a twilight meditation recorded live outdoors in the twilight.
And so there might be some irregularity in the soundscape,
But I was hoping to capture some of the natural sounds and the sense of being in this time in between the brightness of day and the darkness of night where the colors are so vibrant and the sounds are so alive.
So please make yourself comfortable for the next few minutes sitting or lying down any way that you feel supported so that you don't have to grip anywhere in your body.
So that you can just relax your skin,
Your muscles,
Your bones,
Relaxing even your breath.
Try to become the observer of your breath,
Just noticing the texture,
The quality,
The length.
If there's a heat or a coldness to the breath,
Feeling and sensing any information that's coming to you through the observation of the breath.
Envision yourself sitting here with me in this hilltop meadow in the mountains in the late summer surrounded by beautiful flowers and singing crickets and cicadas and birds.
Envision the sky of pink and purple and blues and the sun recently dipping behind the mountains heading towards sunset.
You can feel the wind moving on your skin,
See the trees swaying.
And before you is a small circle of stones,
A fire circle.
In the circle there is a fire burning.
You can watch the flames flickering and notice the way the light is reflecting on the stones.
You can see the smoke rising.
Sitting here before the fire,
Begin to take in the warmth of this flame through the front of your body.
So as you breathe in,
Sense the heat and the fire which is not a hot flame but more of a spirit flame,
A purifying aspect of the fire element.
Breathing into your body on the inhale,
Connecting with your inner flame,
Your yogic fire which is contained right in the center of your body.
So having this fire before you in your consciousness and taking in that element of fire into your interior and allowing it to stoke your inner yogic fire.
This is a fire that burns within that is a pure white fear dispelling purifying flame.
You can start to observe this inner fire radiating outward from the center through the darkness of your interior.
And as you breathe in you can start to layer onto your interior yogic fire all that you wish to offer up to burn away.
You can offer any static in the nervous system that's keeping you from being fully present in the moment.
You can offer any lingering discomfort about any interactions that you had recently today earlier.
You can offer up any fears that show up when we start to really look inside or open ourselves to the deeper movement of energy.
And as you offer these to your yogic fire of the interior the radiance starts to grow brighter and all of the debris,
All of the smoke,
All of the residue becomes scattered into the periphery.
You can see this build up around the glow of your fire and it starts to form a cloak of sorts.
So there's this heavy dense cloak woven around you from all that you're offering up,
All that you're moving through,
All that you're transforming from the center with your deep intention.
Reach forward with your spirit hand so without moving your physical body in your mind's eye you'll reach your arm out in front of you and reach overhead and take a hold of the back of this cloak.
You can start to lift it off of your etheric body,
Perhaps sensing the weight of it or the texture.
You move this cloak completely,
Hold it out in front of you over the fire in the twilight.
Open your hand and drop this cloak onto that fire and watch it become dissolved in the spirit flames as a pure white smoke arises up into the twilight sky.
You continue breathing into your center,
Into that transformative agni of the Manipura chakra,
Offering up all that stands in the way of your bright light shining,
All of the doubt,
All of the anxiety,
All that we carry around that gives us a sense of heaviness,
A sense of darkness.
Once again,
See your interior light scattering this debris to the periphery of your body,
Weaving itself into a thick mat of a cloak over your etheric body.
This process is an ancient tantric meditation practice and you can do this as many times as you need to.
It's a way of freeing yourself from all that heavy,
Confusing energy that blocks the clarity,
That blocks our insight,
That blocks our intuition.
It's a way of dispelling fear and anxiety.
As you continue to exhale and weave into this cloak all that you are sending away from your interior,
You can once again reach your etheric hand forward and take a hold of that cloak and draw it up and over your head and remove it from your body,
Holding it over the fire and open your hand and release it down into the purifying flame of the fire circle.
Watching that pure white fire dissolve,
The density of the cloak and the smoke spiraling upward into the luminous twilight sky.
Relax into this new lightness of your etheric body,
This soft clarity of the heart and the mind,
Taking all the colors and sounds of the twilight and then bringing your hands together,
Your actual physical hands together into Anjali Mudra before your heart into this gesture of offering and as a reminder that we can always offer up to our yogic fire that which we wish to transform,
Transmute,
Release and evolve.
Your meditation is now complete.
Namaste.
