Welcome.
In this meditation you will learn how to accept rest as a necessity.
Restorative rest invites you to be at ease in the mind,
Body,
And spirit before you go to bed.
Or you can listen to this meditation anytime you want to cultivate stillness.
Whenever you're ready,
Get comfortable by sitting down or lying down and close your eyes.
After a long day of having your body alert and in high demand for the responsibilities of the day,
Now is the time to make the commitment to become one with the body and its natural state.
You will give yourself permission to be at rest.
As you observe the natural rhythm of your breath,
Breathing in and breathing out,
Link your awareness with your body by allowing yourself to be in a complete state of rest where you aren't rushing to do anything or rushing to respond to anyone.
Feeling into the state of beingness to be as is.
Allowing this moment with your body to be a safe space and sanctuary as you prepare for the ultimate energy giver,
Which is sleep and rest.
Breathing in and breathe out.
As thoughts may come and go,
Give yourself space to come back to the breath,
To come back to this moment dedicated strictly to the body,
Strictly to coming home,
Strictly to resting your entire being as you prepare for sleep.
Being okay with exactly how the day went knowing that you can't change anything now.
Resting in the acknowledgement that you made it to this moment alive.
You made it to this moment willing and able to give yourself this break.
As you breathe in,
Breathe into presence and breathe out any chaos and thoughts of today or even thoughts of tomorrow.
Be here now knowing that you are well deserving of this relaxation.
There is nothing you have to do to deserve this because every night your body returns to a state of rest and when you resist it,
You force your body to go against its own nature.
A very natural process it creates at the end of the day.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Connecting with the breath as life energy flows through you.
Preparing for rest.
Preparing to be nested in your sanctuary home within the body.
Always give yourself gratitude for what you've done throughout the day.
Always give a kind thank you to the body for being the vessel that was willing and able to be your navigation system.
It was and is the very thing that continues to carry moment by moment,
Day by day.
So as you settle into gratitude,
Breathe in allowing your breath to be long,
Slow and smooth and full of flow and breathing out.
Tapping into your natural state.
Releasing your mind of all thoughts and accepting rest as a necessity.
I hope that you come to remember that rest is a requirement.
That you do not have to do anything to be worthy of resting.
I hope that you give yourself permission to rest more often.
Thank you for joining me today.
