Often our decision making is tied to the past or a cheap thrill. By building a vision of our future and healthy self, we can influence our decision making moving forward. For us to be the best version of ourselves,

Sometimes we need to create a blueprint.

Call this a dream,

A vision,

Whatever it is.

But ultimately,

We need something to move towards,

Towards a dream,

Towards a goal,

Towards a version of ourselves.

So today,

We're going to build that future version of ourselves through visualization.

When we visualize,

We're actually aligning certain parts within our mind and we're showing our body a way of what it can actually achieve.

Sometimes seeing the healthy,

Happy version of us is so far away from where we are currently that it seems impossible.

So for us to move towards the best version of ourselves,

Visualization can be an extremely powerful tool for us to heal ourselves from PTSD.

As we hold a vision of a healthy,

Happier version of ourselves,

Our body and our mind start to see this as a possibility.

When they start to see this as a possibility,

It allows us to make healthier choices in the moment.

Often,

Our choices in the moment can be influenced by the quick rewards of eating poor food or drinking alcohol or disconnecting.

Often our mind and body don't actually know the benefits between making the healthy choice.

That's where when we use visualization to create a future version of ourselves,

We can actually influence our reward system.

We can actually influence the body and the mind's ability to look into the future and understand where that healthy choice is going to lead to and what the benefits are for us.

So the stronger we build this visualization,

The stronger we anchor into what our best future can look like,

The more we can influence our decisions in the present moment.

The easier it can be to give up that food,

To give up to not moving our body,

To give up alcohol,

And to give up those repetitive loops that are disconnecting us from our emotions and from our true power and our maximum potential.

So I'm going to ask you guys to place your hand on your belly and start to breathe into your belly.

It should sound something like this.

As we start to breathe and become more present in our body,

It allows us to truly create a future of ourselves that's not impacted from our past.

Often when we're not grounded and relaxed in who we are,

We can just be stuck in a story and repeating the past,

Repeating our flawed perception of whatever it is.

Often when we're not grounded in ourselves and grounded in our present breath,

We'll just be repeating the past.

So when we use our breath as an anchor to drop into the present moment and drop into our actual body,

We can start to create a future of ourselves that's not anchored in the past,

One that's born out of the present moment and is way more powerful.

So I just invite you guys to close your eyes.

I want you to look into the future,

Create a more positive version of yourself.

See yourself standing there smiling.

See yourself standing there waking up in the morning with lots of energy.

See yourself in the moment making those healthy choices.

See yourself moving your body gently with love.

See yourself making the healthy food choices.

See yourself saying no to alcohol and other forms of disconnection.

The more real you make this visualization,

The more powerful it will be.

Visualize your clothing,

Your house.

Feel elements on your body.

Breathe in the smells and make this visualization as real as possible.

The more real you make this,

The more your mind and your body will believe that this is achievable.

The more real you make this,

The more this will influence your decisions in every moment.

I'll leave you here for the next couple of minutes.

You start to anchor in your new version of yourself.

When you're starting to create this vision,

Try to anchor into some joyful moments.

Try and bring positive emotion to this visualization as this will increase the reward system and increase the likelihood of you moving towards this version of yourself.

Enjoy.

You you you you you you you you you you you Now that you've got this blueprint this vision of how your life can be and will be You need to start moving towards this So the smaller actions that you take to move towards this blueprint towards this vision Moving towards this person.

That's where you feel healed and hold that's where you no longer live under the label of PTSD And that's where you are your happy and vibrant self This mightn't happen overnight So don't be discouraged if this takes a little while for you to get to Like all good things in life.

You have to wait But by making small healthy choices in the moment and moving towards this blueprint this version of yourself is definitely achievable Just break it down to one healthy choice in the moment and come back to being present Come back to being in the moment and in your body and allow you to make decisions In the present moment and not from the past This visualization will be very very powerful to allow you to move towards that version of yourself Allow you to thrive again If you have any questions around visualization or different techniques or ways that you can use visualization in your healing Please reach out to our Facebook page or our Instagram Ruth and I would really love to hear from you.

These meditations have been so helpful, and hopeful. He has a gift of knowing exactly how PTSD controls the body and mind. He has techniques to help get to a place of self agency.
