Then take a moment to get situated,
To find yourself in a seated position,
Have your hands gently resting on your legs,
Your back upright,
And gently close your eyes.
Now notice your breath,
Notice it coming through your nose,
Is it shallow,
Is it long?
Now notice that your breath is keeping you alive.
What does gratitude feel like in the body,
What does it feel like for you?
I notice there is this almost subtle radiating feeling around me,
Just breathe into that.
Gratitude can be something that's fleeting,
When we get lost in,
That translates to a feeling,
We might not want to be wherever we're at,
We could be going through a very challenging time,
We may have lost someone,
We may have lost a job,
We may have said something that you may feel overwhelmed by all of the things that you need to do when we want things to be different than they actually are,
But if we can accept that reality,
We can more easily shift into a place of gratitude and really appreciate this moment,
If we lost a job,
We can appreciate the opportunity to find another one,
We can appreciate the challenge that's in front of us,
To find ways to build resistance,
To learn,
To become stronger.
Gratitude is not only for the things that feel good,
We can appreciate it for the things that are hard,
That these things we will experience,
Can we find gratitude in the,
From those experiences,
Can we tap into gratitude and be kind to ourselves,
When we may have thoughts about ourselves that are not necessarily true,
If we feel like we're not doing enough,
Can we shift and say I'm doing the best that I can right now,
Being exactly where you need to,
Next is an opportunity to ourselves,
To others,
To being with gratitude and appreciating,
I'm grateful to have shared this practice with you,
I wish you a beautiful day.
