Through gentle awareness, learn to recognize when you've wandered far from home—lost in stories, caught in the storms of confusion or anger. This practice guides you back to the sanctuary that exists within your own body, where safety, security, and love are always accessible. By placing your hands on your heart and belly, you anchor into the present moment and discover that home isn't a place you must travel to, but a refuge you can cultivate right where you are. As you explore the sensations of being truly home in your body, the compulsion to seek comfort outside yourself naturally softens. When life pulls you back into its inevitable storms, you'll carry this inner compass—knowing that three conscious breaths can always guide you back to center. This isn't about staying in a perfect, peaceful state, but about remembering that no matter how lost you become, home is only a pause and a breath away.

Home is a place that is accessible right now in this moment.

It's a place to feel safe,

To feel secure,

A place to feel loved.

This is a practice we will explore and learn to cultivate how to come home when it's needed most.

Find yourself in a comfortable seated position or lying down,

Your hands gently resting on your legs or at your side,

Your back upright yet relaxed.

You can have one hand resting on your stomach while the other is resting on your heart.

Take a deep breath in and when you're ready gently close your eyes.

Home can have many different meanings for each of us.

For some it can bring up moments of comfort or moments of discomfort.

For all of us though,

The concept of home is something we all desire.

We all want to feel safe,

We want to feel secure,

We want to feel loved.

We can experience all of these feelings right now,

Here in our body,

Here in this moment.

Because wherever we are,

We can be home.

We can recognize when we're away from home,

When we are lost in our thoughts,

Lost in a story,

We can come back home.

Breathe into this knowing that right now,

In this moment,

You are safe,

You are secure,

You are loved,

You are home.

Keep breathing,

Keep feeling into this,

Explore in your body what it feels like to be home.

Where are the sensations in your body?

Notice these for a few moments,

Be curious.

We can't stay at home forever,

The force of life will pull us out.

We will be placed in the center of storms.

We will be lost,

We will be confused,

Upset and angry,

Yet whenever these difficult experiences,

Thoughts and emotions come up,

We can always come home.

We can come home to ourselves.

We can be present in our body,

Our breath,

Breathe into this space whenever we want to.

Home is a place we can center ourselves,

We can ground our bodies and mind.

We can feel supported,

We can recharge.

Let's take three deep breaths together.

Inhale for six,

Hold for two,

And exhale for eight.

First one.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Hold for one,

Breathing into this feeling of peace.

Allow how you feel right now to be carried with you into your day.

And when difficult emotions or situations come up,

Pause,

Close your eyes,

Take a deep breath,

And come back to home.

This is a great grounding meditation. It’s like a gentle and self awareness switchbacks of meditation! I love how this was like a personal mental hike! Thanks for the adventure! The view is fantastic!!
