Now that you are in a safe and comfortable place,
Let your eyes gently close and bring your awareness to your breath.
Begin by taking three nice gentle breaths in through your nose and nice and long out through your mouth.
Your out breath easily extends a bit more each time,
And with each gentle,
Long out breath,
Your body softens more and more.
And now let your body just breathe itself naturally in and out through your nose.
Today's session will help you allow your body to process some difficult experience.
Bring to mind something that has been bothering you.
Rate how much that it is bothering you as you think about it right now,
With zero being not at all and ten being the most that you can ever imagine.
And now imagine that you are putting that thing away for now.
Pick a place where you can see yourself putting it away.
Perhaps it's up on a shelf,
Or maybe it's in a box or a container of some sort.
Pick anything that feels good for you and imagine yourself putting it away right now.
Now pick something very pleasant that you would like to put your attention on.
It can be absolutely anything that feels really nice to you when you imagine it right now.
Take a few moments and let yourself really connect with this pleasant experience.
See it in your mind's eye.
Feel it.
Taste it.
Smell it.
Hear it.
Let all of your senses help you to enjoy it now.
And now as you continue to listen,
Just enjoy having all of your attention on this very pleasant experience.
You will hear a variety of tones and beats,
And occasionally I will instruct you to blink or scrunch your eyes.
When you hear this,
Don't think about the unpleasant thing.
Simply continue to focus on the pleasant experience.
So focus on the pleasant experience now.
And here we go.

Take a nice gentle breath.
Did you think about the bothersome thing at all?
If so,
That is OK.
If it happens again,
As soon as you notice it,
Simply put it back in your container and put your attention back on the pleasant experience.
You can also change your pleasant experience to make it even more enjoyable.
If there's anything you'd like to add in to make it feel even better,
Imagine yourself adding that in right now.
You might want to choose someone or something to join you in your imagination.
Invite in anything comforting and protective that helps you feel completely safe and very loved and very happy.
Sometimes imaginary places and companions feel better than real life ones.
So feel free to be very creative and let yourself really enjoy this experience.

Now think about the thing that was bothering you.
How much does it bother you now from zero to ten?
Did it change at all?
If it is going down,
That is great.
We will continue until it gets down to zero.
It's quite possible that it went up.
That is also a very normal part of processing.
Consider that you might want to pick a different place to put it away.
Remember that you can imagine putting it anywhere that feels good to you,
Even if it doesn't necessarily make sense to you now.
Think about what would make it go down even more.
What do you need for that to happen?
Imagine yourself giving yourself whatever you need for that to happen right now.
If you'd like,
You can pause the audio to consider this more and resume whenever you feel ready.
Now once again,
Put the distressing experience away for now.
Bring your attention to something very pleasant.
And this time,
When you hear me instruct you to blink,
Don't think about the upsetting thing.
Just continue to focus on the pleasant thoughts and blink or scrunch your eyes three times.
