Welcome to your five-minute meditation.

Please join me in a comfortable position.

You want to be in a place that you can breathe easily.

Maybe that's seated and if so,

Stack the shoulders right over top of your hips.

Maybe being comfortable means laying down on your back.

If so,

You might consider bending your knees,

Bring your feet flat on the floor.

Now wherever you are,

Please join me in taking a big breath in and let it out the mouth,

Giving yourself permission to be present and mindful for the next five minutes.

I'd like to invite you now to shift your mindset into a place of curiosity,

Getting curious about how your body is feeling today.

What sensations can you notice?

Perhaps you can feel the air in your skin,

The connection of your body against the floor or chair.

Can you notice your breath and the natural rhythm that it has today?

Observing the rise of the inhale and the release of the exhale,

Getting curious about the pauses in between.

I'd like to give you some space today.

I want to encourage you to stay curious.

As thoughts come in,

Get curious about where they might have come from and then invite in an inhale and an exhale to let them go.

Resting in a state of just observing your experience and body and breath and eventually a new thought will rise.

Get curious about where it comes from.

Take a breath in and out to let it go.

You'll hear my voice come back in about a minute's time.

I'd like to invite you now to breathe with me.

Inviting in a long slow inhale,

Allowing your belly to expand and letting out a longer slower exhale.

Breathing into your belly,

Ribs and chest,

Letting out a long slow smooth exhale.

Breathing in deeply and slowly letting it out.

Taking one more breath on your own to complete your practice.

I hope you stay curious today,

Noticing your thoughts as they come and go and I hope to see you again soon.

Namaste.
