In the busyness of life,

A moment of tranquility awaits you.

This practice is your sacred pause for profound peace,

An invitation to immerse yourself in the deep,

Nourishing stillness that lies within,

Offering the solace and clarity you seek.

Welcome to the Mindful Movement.

I'm Sarah Raymond.

I invite you to make yourself comfortable.

Find a quiet space where you can sit or lie down undisturbed,

A sacred place where you can dedicate this time solely to your healing and peace.

Let this be a loving act of kindness toward yourself,

Honoring your need for stillness and rejuvenation.

This entire practice is an invitation to take what serves you and leave behind what doesn't.

It is an opportunity to choose you.

You can choose to begin by connecting with your breath.

Notice its rhythm,

The coolness of the air as it enters your nostrils,

The warmth as it softly exits.

Each breath is a reminder,

Guiding you back to this moment,

To a state of calm awareness.

As you breathe,

You might imagine roots extending from your body into the earth,

Grounding you in the here and now,

Providing a foundation of stability and peace.

Now you can deepen your connection with the breath,

Finding a pace that soothes and comforts you.

Inhale slowly,

Filling your lungs completely,

Holding this breath with ease at the top of the inhalation.

Then gently release the air through your mouth,

Exhaling longer than your inhale.

This breath pattern is a powerful tool for calming your body and mind.

With each exhale,

Imagine releasing any tension,

Stress,

Or worry that has been weighing you down,

Allowing a sense of serenity to wash over you.

Continue for another moment on your own,

Breathing in through your nose,

Pausing at the top,

And invite your exhale to be longer than your inhale.

Attend to the sensations and internal experiences of breathing.

Let go of this focused breath pattern and turn your attention to your body.

Start from the very tips of your toes,

Moving your attention upward,

Gradually,

With a loving observation.

As you focus on each part of your body,

Observe any sensations you encounter,

Warmth,

Coolness,

Tingling,

Tightness,

Or perhaps nothing at all.

Approach these sensations with curiosity and openness,

Doing your best to let go of judgment.

Gently move your awareness up throughout your body,

Offering each part a silent nod of acknowledgement and compassion.

This mindful journey through your body not only deepens your connection to the present moment,

But it also fosters a loving acceptance of your physical self.

In this space of heightened awareness,

You might notice areas within you that hold tension or discomfort.

I invite you to approach these sensations not as adversaries,

But as aspects of yourself that are asking for attention and care.

You may visualize extending a hand of friendship to these parts of yourself,

Greeting them with kindness and understanding.

This act of befriending your experience,

Of meeting yourself where you are with compassion,

Is a step toward healing and peace.

With continued kindness and compassion,

Embrace a moment of silence,

A sacred pause in your meditation.

In stillness,

Allow yourself to simply be with your experience,

Whatever it may be.

This silence is a canvas upon which the textures and colors of your inner world are free to express themselves.

It is a time for integration,

For letting the practices of breath and body awareness settle into your being.

In this stillness,

Consider the profound strength and opportunity that resides in silence.

Just as the deepest roots of a tree are unseen,

Providing nourishment and stability,

So too does the stillness within us offer an unwavering foundation of peace and resilience.

Embrace this lesson of the unseen strength,

Carrying it with you into the world.

Gradually begin to bring your awareness back to the space you are in.

Feel the support beneath you,

The air against your skin,

The sounds around you.

Invite some movement back into your body with a sense of gratitude for this time you have given yourself.

When you are ready,

Open your eyes and return to your day with a heart full of peace,

Carrying the stillness and serenity you've cultivated within you.
