Hey,
It's Cyrus.
Welcome to this rocket powered habit building meditation.
Whether you're trying to wake up early or start meditating or exercising,
This is something that you can repeat every day until you get in that new habit steadily.
So I invite you to start off by instinctively picking the highest leverage habit that would make the most outsized positive effect on your life that you currently want to do,
But maybe you've been struggling to implement.
And when you have that,
Go ahead and sit upright and relaxed in a comfortable position now and close your eyes when you feel ready.
Take a slow but powerful deep breath into the body,
In through the nose,
Filling up the entire body with oxygen and slowly release out through the mouth,
Decompressing as you exhale.
Be aware of the sensation in your hands with your mental spotlight.
Feel the tingling,
Vibrating aliveness in your hands and fingers for a moment.
And as you begin to safely ground yourself in your body in this moment,
If you feel ready,
Start to think about that habit you've selected.
See and feel yourself doing that habit and notice any resistance,
Energy or sensations that arise in the body.
And if it feels safe to do so,
Just allow those sensations to arise and float up fully.
Allow them to be there and welcome them in this moment.
Even if they're uncomfortable,
Just give them a home.
Be fully aware of them with an embracing attention as you allow them to flow through your body and watch them directly.
Take a few moments here to allow that inner resistance that you have around this habit to be fully acknowledged and experienced on a sensory and energetic level as you simply allow the body to feel it and witness that energy flowing through in a state of non-resistance to it.
And now settle into the ground floor where you're okay if that energy is there and you're also okay if it leaves.
You're not trying to make it go or stay.
Just watch it for a moment from that place of deep surrender.
And now imagine that old energy starting to dissolve as you simply breathe and start to release it and allow it to flow out of your body into a bigger field of energy that can dissolve it completely for you.
Not thinking,
But simply relaxing and allowing it to evaporate out of your body into the greater space.
And now in the space you've opened up in your body,
Begin to breathe in the energies of courage,
Empowerment,
Capability.
Really breathe them in fully and invigorate your body with those energies now.
And now I invite you to be curious about what that block was.
Was it a fear of discomfort,
A fear of perceived failure,
Or perhaps a fear of succeeding in the seeming responsibility that comes with that.
Just notice non-judgmentally what might be at the heart of that block you just felt through.
And hold whatever realization might have come up in a space of compassion and self-acceptance for a moment.
Being aware that you can accept yourself for having that block,
But still not necessarily need to allow that block to control whether you do the habit or not going forward.
And now I invite you to think about the bigger reason or reasons for doing this habit.
How would doing this habit on a consistent basis serve you or others going forward?
And really allow yourself to breathe in the energy of that realization,
Of that bigger reason,
Allowing it to charge you up to expand your energy and inspire you.
And finally,
I invite you to notice the anticipation and resistance dynamic with habits,
Where the lead up and anticipation of doing the habit creates more inner resistance than actually just doing it.
So it's an invitation to be present in the moments leading up to doing the habit and not get lost in thoughts or stories about the doing of the habit.
And noticing how also the majority of the discomfort and resistance occurs in the first two to three minutes of most habits.
Like the first couple minutes of heightened inner chaos during a meditation,
Or the first few moments of intensity in a cold shower,
Or the first minute or two of a workout before you find a rhythm and flow.
Notice how past that initial point of the first minute or two,
It's usually relatively smoother sailing as you find your rhythm with what you're doing.
So it can be useful to remember to leverage and harness any of those intense anticipation feelings,
To simply feel them and lean into them for those first couple minutes so we can get over that hump and into the flow of the habit.
So that we can be consistent with it and serve those bigger reasons for doing it.
So if that sounds good and you're in a position where you're ready and able to tackle that habit now or soon,
I invite you to open your eyes when you feel ready.
And maybe have a gentle stretch,
Do any necessary warming up for whatever the habit is,
And simply go do it if you feel like that would serve you now.
And if you choose to do that,
If you want to,
You can come back after you're done and let me know that this worked for you.
And if you think it would be a helpful boost,
Keep coming back to this track every day and repeating it to generate momentum until you're in a rhythm with that habit automatically.
And if it's working for you,
You can repeat that with other habits that you want to implement gradually over time.
I hope this serves you well,
And feel free to share it with anyone you think it might benefit.
Have an amazing day.
