You didn't choose your conditioning, but the Magic Cave of Transformation exists in your consciousness as a sort of spiritual womb where you can choose how to want to be reborn. By examining a limiting belief, an emotional pattern, and a disowned part of ourselves with the perspective and energetic transformation the cave affords us, we'll make profound internal shifts in one magical session. Hey,

It's Cyrus.

Welcome to the magical cave of transformation meditation.

They say truth comes in threes,

So we're going to enter the cave and change three aspects of your existence to their truest form,

And it's going to feel like magic.

So if you're feeling sparkly and brave and curious today,

Find a comfortable position,

Eliminate any distractions,

And close your eyes.

Feel yourself settling into the support,

Alert and relaxed as you let go of any obvious tension.

Imagine yourself at the base of a snowy mountain,

And as you gaze towards the summit of the mountain,

Notice that you see the gleam of an entrance to a cave.

But we're not going to climb up there,

We're going to float using our breath.

So take a deep,

Slow breath in through the nose all the way down to your feet,

And as you exhale,

Slowly imagine yourself floating safely and pleasantly a hundred feet up the mountain,

Landing softly in the snow,

And taking another slow,

Deep breath all the way down to the feet,

Energizing your feet,

Jet packs,

And breathing out slow,

Floating up again,

A hundred and fifty feet up the mountain.

Feeling yourself finding your rhythm with your magical power,

Taking another slow,

Deep breath all the way down to the feet,

Exhaling and floating freely up,

Up,

And away.

And as you land,

Notice that the entrance of the cave is within view now more clearly.

Just one more jet pack flotation should do the trick.

Take one final,

Super slow,

Deep breath all the way down to the toes,

And feel the slow exhalation propelling you all the way.

To the entrance of the cave.

See and feel yourself at the foot of the cave,

Gradually entering at a pace that feels safe.

Witnessing with curiosity the luminescence of the walls of the cave,

And any sounds that you hear in the cave.

And notice how the cave might magically bring you a light and blissful,

Open feeling as you enter this liminal space that feels curiously like home.

Even if you don't consciously recognize it,

Notice how this is a space that you're somehow returning to.

And feel yourself wrapped up in its quiet safety as you make yourself at home.

And notice how in this cave,

There's a sense of deep stillness that allows you to effortlessly surrender any thoughts,

And just be with the simplicity of your existence.

Notice how in the cave,

There is only now that past and future literally cannot exist in this timeless space of the magic cave.

And as you situate yourself easefully and comfortably in the cave and take in the surroundings,

You might choose to observe yourself and your human form from a third-person perspective if that feels safe and good to you.

But either way,

In this space of expanded consciousness,

Begin to ask your unconscious mind the first question.

What limiting or unconscious belief is no longer serving you and is ready and ripe for change?

Simply ask the question in your own way and be open to the answer that bubbles up to you.

And just settle on whatever belief intuitively feels right in this moment,

Magnetizing your attention towards it.

Notice the feeling texture and any other form that it presents itself in,

Whether colors,

Sensations,

Or images,

Just notice non-judgmentally for a moment.

And now,

To the best of your conscious ability,

Notice the root,

The origin of this belief,

But notice it from a completely non-personal perspective,

As if you're just curiously,

Compassionately observing the original cause in this lifetime of this limiting belief.

If it feels safe to observe.

And as you allow that compassionate space between your consciousness and the observation of that belief to expand,

Notice how there's a sort of obvious inevitability to the arising of this belief up until this point,

Almost as if you can see from this perspective,

Of course this human took on this belief,

I can clearly and compassionately see why,

Just allowing that moment of aware and deeply compassionate recognition.

And now notice how the luminescent walls of the cave have the quality of a magnetic incinerator and can effortlessly dissolve any old energies.

And if you feel ready to surrender it,

Simply hand over the old belief and any associated feelings in this moment.

In your body,

To the walls of the cave,

All you have to do is relax and effortlessly allow it to flow out of your body as it already is doing,

As it already wants to.

And simply notice the walls of the cave easily absorbing it for you.

Notice how with each passing moment you are more and more completely free of the old belief and all of its energies.

And simply notice the authentic new belief that you wish to consciously choose,

Instead of the old belief that was unconsciously chosen on your behalf.

Notice in this space of zero limitations what you wish to replace it with,

And don't be afraid to be free and ambitious in what you choose if it feels true to your soul.

And now notice how the walls of the cave have recycled the old energy and are now feeding you back a new and fresh energy that infuses you with the emotions and frequencies of this new belief that you've chosen.

And feel yourself breathing that in,

Drinking it from the walls of the cave into every cell of your body,

Becoming radiant and overflowing with all the empowerment and choice of this new belief.

See yourself moving through the world with this belief strong in its conviction in your mind and your emotional body.

See and feel this conscious version of yourself that you've chosen,

Moving and flowing through the world.

And with the confidence and momentum of this first transformation under your belt,

Take a breath,

Let it go pleasantly,

And ask yourself the second question,

What emotional trigger or pattern that's no longer serving me am I ready to change?

Nothing overwhelming,

Just something you feel safe to explore.

Ask the question and notice what arises on its own.

And settle on whatever trigger or pattern emotionally feels like it's presenting itself most clearly to you.

And from this third-person,

Totally non-judgmental perspective that the cave affords you with ease,

Simply observe a moment when your human has reacted this way with this emotional pattern.

Observing with total non-judgment and curiosity,

There's no shame in your actions.

Or fear in the cave,

We can just lovingly witness.

And notice despite how we might feel about this trigger or this reaction pattern,

It's there because at some point our system learned that it served some purpose,

Whether to protect us or try to protect us,

Whether to hold some belief or comfort zone in place,

Just start to get curious and compassionate about whatever purpose that reaction has served,

At least at some point in your life.

And if it feels right,

Just take a moment to notice,

Acknowledge,

And express gratitude for what that emotional pattern was at least trying to do for you.

And notice how it might be an old pattern now that's just automatically reflexively running in,

And if you sense there's something new or nuanced that would serve you instead,

Begin to imagine yourself releasing this old emotional program from your body into the walls of the cave that will happily absorb it and transform it for you.

Simply surrendering it from the deepest recesses of your inner system and feeling it evaporate up out through your body into the walls of the cave that are effortlessly absorbing it on your behalf.

Feel yourself becoming more balanced and clear and spacious in your inner emotional system.

And begin to ask your wisdom and intuition what emotional response would serve you when this trigger arises.

Instead,

Rather than the old unconscious reaction,

Notice what conscious response intuitively feels balanced,

Respectful to yourself and what you need,

While also consistently creating the most effective outcomes in your life.

And as you observe this conscious response unfolding,

Feel the walls of the cave feeding the energy of that back to you,

Breathing it in as you feel your energy system infusing with a sense of trust,

Wisdom,

Lovingness,

And peace.

Or whatever energies feel intuitive to you.

And visualize yourself moving through the world now,

Empowered by this new conscious response to the old trigger.

Not needing to be perfect,

But simply seeing and feeling yourself being consistent in what you consciously choose to respond with.

Take another slow deep breath and let it go,

And ask yourself the third and final question that the cave has for you.

What part of you hasn't fully been in the light for a while?

What part of you do you feel disconnected from,

That you feel ready and safe to shine some light on and reconnect to?

Ask yourself that question and simply be open to whatever arises.

There is no right or wrong.

Simply be open.

And as you settle on the part of you that feels like it needs your attention,

That you feel safe and ready to connect with,

Notice again there is no shame,

Fear,

Or judgment in the cave.

Only curiosity and love.

So begin to observe that part of you in whatever form it takes,

And simply ask it if there's anything it wishes to share with you,

And simply listen and hold a loving space for its response.

Affirm and empathize with whatever it shared with you,

So that you make a connection with that part of you again,

So you help it feel understood simply by letting it know you understand.

And engage your meta-awareness within the cave as you have empathy and compassion for yourself,

By acknowledging with curiosity and compassion why you've disconnected from this part of you for as long as you might have.

And as you connect to that part of you,

Let it know that it can put down any burdens that it's been carrying,

Because you're here now,

You're reconnecting,

And you're listening to it.

And if you sense that it trusts you,

Invite it to release any baggage it's been carrying,

To the magic walls of the cave.

And ask it if it needs anything from you going forward,

And just listen to whatever it shares with you.

And if it feels true,

Affirm and assure that part of you that you will follow through to the best of your consistent ability with whatever it's asking of you.

And let it know that it can take on whatever role it feels would best serve both of you within your system now,

And just observe what that part of you wants to do now that it's been brought into the light,

Into a loving embrace.

And feel yourself integrating and connecting with that part of you now in a way that feels good,

As the communal energy of the walls of the cave allow you to make that deep connection.

Take another deep breath in,

And let it go slow as you notice the shift in your limiting belief and the new one you've chosen,

Your old emotional trigger,

And the new response you've chosen.

That disconnected part that was in the darkness,

And the connection you've made with it having brought it into the light of your love.

And be aware how this magical cave is a sort of spiritual womb that you spent time consciously authoring your own experience and letting go of that which was automatically chosen for you.

And as you step back towards the entrance of the cave,

Feel yourself getting ready to be reborn.

Taking one final breath as you say goodbye to the cave for now,

And letting yourself float back down the mountain to the base,

To the earth.

Grounded as you exhale,

Feeling yourself refreshed and fundamentally changed in several profound ways.

Feeling that recalibration of your inner system in a positive way,

And being gentle and patient with yourself as you hold that lightly within your system.

Opening your eyes when you feel ready,

And returning at a pace that feels effortless and intuitive.

And know that you can return to the cave once a week or as often as you like in order to work on different beliefs,

Triggers,

And parts of yourself within that magical space that you're cultivating for inner transformation.

With consistency you'll just see more and more magic happen.

I invite you to share this with anyone you feel it might benefit,

And I thank you for taking this time for yourself today.

Have a magical day.

This was a very sweet and creative way to bring these aspects into the light. At first, I struggled to see the roots of my emotional triggers till I slowed down and remembered that these have been seeds passed to me through many generations over and over again. It really is inevitable that my response would be this way, but there is still a choice when there is time taken to bring awareness to it. Plus it’s just fun to be in a cave. I hope you know that you are genuinely helping people with this work.

Wow! This was like a whole IFS session for me. Journaling afterward helped too. I had significant breakthroughs as far as feeling reconnection to a part that holds so much vitality that the other parts were scared of. And we have an agrement as to how I’ll keep checking back in. I know I’ll return because: 1) I love mountains. 2) I love caves. 3) jet packs are fun.

Really great opportunity to go deep. The theme for me was to drop the residual connection to perceived hurts where love is concerned and reach that eternal universal love for all human beings. After 36 years of meditation, I've let go of most of it. But what remains is disappointment in the portion of the population that clings to ideas of separation. Racism. Misogyny. Hate in all forms. In the 60s and 70s, fighting those things became a way of life. Now I strive to feel the Divine Oneness of all taught to me by Buddha and Christ and teachers like Thich Nhat Hanh. Nearly there at 73. I think. :)
