Hey,
It's Cyrus.
You might be taking things for granted in your life right now and not even realizing it.
But the antidote for that is gratitude.
So we're going to go into a deep state of gratitude that will help us fall in love with the wonder of life again.
Go ahead and sit in a comfortable position and close your eyes.
Take a slow deep breath in through the nose,
Fill up your body with the breath.
And slowly release it out through the mouth.
Two more like that.
Breathe a little bit deeper this time,
Filling up your body.
Let it go a little bit slower,
Letting yourself land the plane of your body and mind into the present moment.
And one final deep breath.
Really breathe the deepest breath yet.
Breathe in all that yummy oxygen and slowly let it go out through the mouth,
Letting your muscles become supple and relaxed as you exhale.
Notice the first thing that pops in your mind when I ask you,
What are you grateful for?
Be aware of the qualities and subtle energies of that thing or person that popped in your mind.
Feel yourself receiving the energy of that thing or that person.
Breathe it in and be aware of the felt sense of gratitude that you have for the opportunity to experience it.
And notice the first thing that pops in your mind now when I ask you,
What do you subtly take for granted in your life,
Just noticing without judgment?
And take a moment now to remedy that and reflect on the subtle aspects or energies of that person or thing that you deeply appreciate.
And take a moment now to allow yourself a moment of intentional deep gratitude for that person or thing,
Breathing in that deliberate gratitude as you meditate upon it.
And I invite you to reflect on the multitude of your senses now,
Things that you might take for granted or not notice,
So fundamental to your existence that they're easy to overlook,
And yet a privilege of the human experience.
So notice the first thing that pops in your mind when I ask you the question,
What is a meal that you've tasted recently that was particularly delicious?
Notice the memory of the smell of the dish before it even touched your tongue,
Just notice and remember the smell.
Take a moment to consciously be grateful for your sense of smell,
Its ability to alight your imagination,
Your memory,
And add another dimension to your life that you might not even normally notice.
Just inhaling and breathing in that sense of gratitude for that dimension of your life.
And now notice and imagine what that dish tasted like.
Notice the textures,
The flavors,
The subtle buzz of chemicals that they lit up within your brain as you tasted it.
And take a moment now to breathe in a sense of gratitude for the richness and complexity of your palate,
Purposely thankful for the experience of taste in this moment.
And I invite you to turn your attention to your ears now,
And if you're blessed with the ability to hear,
Just notice the sounds that surround you right now.
Notice the high tones and frequencies,
And notice any low tones.
Notice how the tones and sounds intermingle and harmonize together as one orchestra of subtle sound.
And take a moment now to breathe in and experience a sense of gratitude for your ability to hear the world around you.
And I invite you to gently open your eyes as if you're a newborn seeing the world for the first time.
And if you've been gifted with sight,
Just gently notice with a sense of wonder and awe all the subtle colors,
Textures,
And details of what you can see as if seeing it for the first time.
Allow the simple beauty of what you see to wash through your nervous system and be received with a sense of awe and gratitude.
And now I invite you to turn your attention to your body and notice a part of your body that you feel grateful for.
If it feels right,
You might choose to touch that part of your body to make a connection with it,
To feel a sense of gratitude for that sense of touch and kinesthetic connection.
And you might even choose to thank that part of your body for whatever it does for you,
Whether functional,
Emotional,
Or both.
You could literally say thank you right now and feel that gratitude.
And I invite you to close your eyes once again and connect to the people in your life who you feel grateful for.
Start to become aware of all the little things,
The gifts,
The things you might normally overlook or just become accustomed to that they bring into your life that's unique to them.
And I invite you to open yourself to the feeling of gratitude for the people in your life and what they bring into it.
And to not block the flow of this gratitude energy.
If it feels right to receive it fully,
Imagine yourself opening,
Softening,
And receiving the full flow of this deep gratitude for the people in your life.
And finally now,
I invite you to be aware of the fact that you are alive in this moment,
On this day.
Something so simple and fundamental that you could easily overlook or take for granted,
Or to think about the things that are not quite to your liking about right now or today.
But I invite you to let all of that go,
To let it fade into the background.
And to let the overwhelming awareness of the fact that you are alive right now,
On this day,
To be at the forefront of your consciousness.
And allow a spontaneous feeling of utterly irrational gratitude spring forth completely from that awareness.
Focus your attention on the energy of that gratitude,
And with each breath,
Imagine it amplifying and circulating through every cell of your energy.
And as the simplicity of this gratitude energy flows through you,
Notice how it feels.
Begin to familiarize yourself with it.
Notice how it may start to create a state of mind where you feel open to the world,
A sense of curiosity,
Spontaneous joy,
Wonderment.
And as you continue to cultivate this energy,
You might start to notice it lead to a feeling of enthusiasm for life,
And a peacefully urgent desire to live each moment and day to the fullest,
Fully present,
Grateful for,
And soaking in all the little things.
And in the spirit of that,
I invite you to set an intention now to stay connected to that energy of gratitude as you go back into your day.
And when you feel ready,
Allow the eyes to open.
I invite you to come back into the world as if you're being reborn with a sense of awe,
Wonder,
And gratitude connected to that feeling in each and every moment.
If you enjoyed this,
I invite you to practice this regularly to cultivate this energy and quality within yourself and your life.
Feel free to share this track with anyone it might be useful to.
And I thank you for taking this time for yourself today.
I hope you have a magical day.
